High Alching Speed

About how many high alchs could I do in an hour with distractions and randoms and whatnot? I know you can't be accurate but could people give me some estimates?

On average a player could probably make an alch every 2-3 seconds without distractions... 20-30 alchs a minute... which would come out to be 1200-1800 alchs per hour. Just an estimation. ;)

The generally accepted number is about 1k an hour I believe.

It's been accepted that the average person can alch around 1k items per hour.. And a range of +/- ~200 depending on how hard you concentrate, or how much you slack off.

1000 is on the low end if your not that concentrated, 1150 would probably be the most thats possible.

1k an hour is very high, few will reach that point. I've been unable to track down the exact alch speed, but I believe it is very close to 2.95 seconds per alch, meaning a (theoretical) max of 1.2k. In reality, you will never be able to come close to that. I'd be willing to bet that no one has ever gotten 1150, and even 1.1k is virtually unattainable.

It depends on your connection and concentration, which you can tell by the responses here. People saying 1k an hour is nearly impossible probably have slower connections, while those claiming 1.1k+ is possible probably have quite good connections.

Now all you have to do is round off how many alches you will miss, and how many pm's you will reply to.

You're way off.

 

 

 

I was able to achieve a steady 1.1k alches/hour if I was really concentrating, but with pm's and stuff it usually is around 1k/hour.

 

 

 

Edit: This was with the old animation. I don't knew whether the new one is the same speed and just as easy to do right.
