Gravy
Well this is ridiculous, Firemaking finally gets an update and yet again unless you have very high levels in every other stats, you can't get the rewards. To light all beacons, not only do you need to have 60 Crafting, 64 Agility, 42 or 59 Construction, 56 or 70 Smithing and the stats to access the Prayer guild and do Land of the Goblins, you need to be able to get to entrance of GWD and survive in the wildy. That's high? Follow me on Twitter!FORGET NOT THE CHICKEN.I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.
ShadowFire
That's high? Considering this is a FIREMAKING update, those requirements are very high. The last beacon already needs lvl 92 firemaking, it shouldn't also need 70 Smithing/59 Construction when those skills have nothing to do with beacon lighting. coldsorcu
The last reward needs 92 FM actually... The best strategy to have is, give each of the fire tenders logs to watch your fire, use the best logs you can get.
darkjab
I gots the ring!! [hide=][/hide] Maple's is enough if you are using a spirit terrorbird. With a ring of fire, a maple log gives 138 experience. ...it gave an extra 3 exp points #-o So im assuming with the next reward we'll get a might 5/6 exp extra per maple? Still, you have to earn whatever these bonuses' are. If beacons are in the wildneress(Which I don't know,) combat is related. As for the other skills, again, I don't know the games basis, but I presume they are related. Besides, beats no update. darkjab
What does it do O_O Apparently it gives 3 more xp per log. But it was maple, it may be a percentage increase, so possible yews and magic could give a bit more. And after testing! A yew log gives 207 experience, 4.5 more experience is that? Triquos
How do you get the new items? 3 beacons in a row? Using good logs on the beacon? I'm getting nothing =[ and I even got the people to look after them and they fizzle out in like 2 mins  so much for that..

NOT THE STATS TO ACCESS THE PRAYER GUILD!? ANYTHING BUT 31 PRAYER! NERF IT JAGEX, NERF NERF NERF NERF NERF NERF! The skills are all easy (70 smithing is kind of expensive, but still easy), Land of the Goblins is easy, level 70s can get to the GWD entrance (a prayer pure could probably do it too, just use the right prayer and have 50 agility), and the Wilderness is safer than Lumbridge (Revenant > Beggers). Really. :( As for the quest, I am F2P for now so I cannot do it. :( Looks exciting though.

darkjab
I used maples, stocked up 200, had a spirit bird, had some tireless run scrolls and had varrock tele runes and a tinderbox. Light the start one, tele to varrock, bank at eastern bank. Light the second one near rag and bone man, tele to varrock, bank at eastern bank. Light the one just north of the bar, tele, bank at eastern bank. Light the next one just north of the castle, tele, bank at western bank/G.E, get rid of the terrorbird and get another pouch. Light the one north of the G.E, bring out a new Terrorbird, run to the Edgeville bank, light the one at the north end of Edgeville. If you did it fast enough all will be lit and at max height, earning you the reward, if I was a few seconds later the first one would of died down a bit and possibly make me miss out on the reward. BabyPunchers
Has anyone the Gloves or even the "whatever-the-highest-reward-was-thingie"? Gonna train for 79 fm to get the gloves if they are any use.... Someone posted it on like page two. Besides the awesome power of puns, it gives a small percentage increase to lighting logs. 124 becomes like 128 exp or something like that. I was thinking, if you got all of the rewards and if they stack with the pyrelord, it could be a pretty good staple to train with. They probably do stack though. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie. calum12
Ring will gr8 for fming, gloves probably enhanced version, but the Inferno Adze sounds very interesting. Appears to act as both axe and pick, i wonder what the special effects are? Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably. ShadowFire
Am I "that guy" or is he "that guy"? Most likely I'm "that guy", because I don't find it particularly amusing that the only expansions Firemaking has ever recieved have virtually nothing to do with Firemaking. And yes, I could easily light all 14 beacons in a few Agility & Construction levels, however I still find those extra requirements a pointless barrier that yet again holds back Firemaking from being seen as a useful skill in the eyes of everyone who doesn't have every skill at 80+. darkjab
WHAT IN THE HECK IS THE INFERNO ADZE!!!! It can be used as a pickaxe and an axe!! You need 41 mining to use it (equivalent to a rune pickaxe) and you also need 61 woodcutting (making it equivalent to a dragon axe!???) That sounds like an interesting little tool, and if it also burns logs (i'm speculating) then it's kinda ownage, 3 items in 1!
