Ok so when a page is loaded and I am reading the thread sometimes it redirects me to here: http://www.peoplepcfinder.com/dM/handle ... eb-lr-derp

.Does any one else have this problem or have I gotten some wierd virus?

This seems to have started today and is happening on more than one thread. It is getting very annoying. And I have not clicked on anything other than the link to a topic.

Did it again, this time while letting it sit on Forum Updates and Suggestions.

It's probably you, not the forum. I would suggest contacting your ISP (which I would assume is PeoplePC) about why you are getting redirected... But I think your links are broken. Yeah I didn't help much. Or run a virus scanner, a virus might be screwing with your internet browser.

I think you have spyware or a virus. Do a scan. Tip.it wouldn't allow that kind of advertising, I don't think. Maybe an admin can enlighten us.

If anyone else gets the same problem, I'll make sure someone techie takes a look at it and if it's a bad advert we will deal with it.

As the others have said though, I think it is on your side.

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?

No virus where detected by my antivirus when I ran a scan, and Spybot did not find anything out of the ordinary... Did find one registry change for Internet Explorer, but it did not say it was really a threat.

Will let you know if this problem continues.

I noticed in the link it says "url?forum.tip.it" so it's probably you lagging, and clicking an ad by mistake. That's all I can say if you have no viruses/spyware.

I think it's an ad aswell.

I don't think it's something with the forum since no one else reported the problem.

I've had the same problem, but it was different. Like, when I had my old computer, sometimes I clicked on a link and it redirected to a google page or even photobucket/imageshack saying "this page cannot be found".

What skin are you using? It's likely trying to include an outdated advert file, and that page is your IP's error page, not spyware or something else (unless you're not using Peoplepc :uhh: )

I am using TipIt theme skin.

I have not had this problem again since the day I made this topic. Either it was something Spybot fixed, or some problem with the forum content on that day. Killife mentioned it could be from an Advert. I would agree with him on it's being a possibility. Might want to check the Ad records on that day and see if any have not been repeated since.

Of course this is your Board so its rather silly of me to be making such suggestions. Just trying to help put ideas out their.
