Hello Tip.it people. I have been trying to see which skill I should max out to get money. Now, I don't mean combat uping since I am poor. I my highest stats are fishing and cooking, so I made up my mind to go fishing. I have been trying to get the right req. for swan song which I have not yet achieved. My Quest points are about 68 and I am trying to get 101 to do the quest. I am now doubting myself on my choice. Did I choose the right skill; perhaps I am not training it right. Please post the skill you find best and why. Here are the points I care about most:

-Mental involvment:(can I just do a few clicks here and there or do I have to run around places)

-Gold per hour:(how much gold do I make an hour)

-how quick can I get the skill level'd up: reletivly how hard is it, do I need to do a bunch of quests before it's worth it? Can i just do it and be done?)

-what is your highest skill level and what level is it?

Fishing is very easy, and it will be profitable, but VERY VERY BORING! Try the following:

Cooking: although it is also boring, it is considerably faster than fishing, but it could cost some money. You will not make any money i can garuantee that. But i must tell you that it is not respected at all, and i personally wouldnt be happy to wear an untrimmed cooking cape, but that's just me.

Thieving: Very fast, up to 200k exp/hr at high levels, can be gotten from 75-99 in a matter of 2 weeks, but very repetitive. Can make a lot of money if your lucky.

Hunter: Also fast and good money, you can make around 30mil from 1-99 but requires constant attention.

My highest skill is str at 89, dunno why you want to know that ::'

I'd get 99 Hunter. Start Red Chins at 63.

You can stay in the same area the whole way from 63-99 as long as you have your boxes. There is a lot of clicking involved, but on average I think you make about 80k Xp an hour at a good level which is much faster than Fishing. Your profit at a good level should be around 200k - which beats Fishing once again.

Hunter's not bad. 1-63 can be achieved fairly quickly. Once you get to the mid 70's, things will seem pretty slow but after you hit 80 and can use 5 traps at a time you'll be speeding through the levels again.

But the spots are very crowded, just to let you know ;)

thanks for that, but that second response was very confusing. The first one was good. I had no idea hunter was any good at all!

I am going to be quite honest with you, it is also a bit blunt, but through my eyes and experiences both here (on forums) and in-game the chances of you completing a 99 goal that you ask others to suggest on is very slim.

You have already said that you enjoy fishing go along with that. I am 86 fishing (maybe 84, can't remmeber or check on my phone) and I enjoy it a little bit, its easy to do and get into. I personally enjoy woodcutting more which is why my woodcutting is 94.

My highest level is 99 and it is defence (my favorite stat) second highest is 98 which is fletching. third is 95 which is hitpoints. Fifth and fourth highest is 94 attack and woodcutting. I have an okay amount of 90+ stats so you can accept my opinion through experience.

Apparently, my signature was to big.
