Theme Troubles

I am having an issue with the Tip it theme. On the area where it says Logout (username), it runs in with the Tip.it themes selection (the thing with the colors). The only way to prevent this is to change my desktop resolution.

A picture of the issue or the screen resolution you use when you have the issue would be helpful.

I believe he means where the logout (name here) button overlaps the tip.it theme colors, making it so he cant choose some of them. As you can see it sort of overlaps the text on mine.

My best guess is that it your screen is too small to handle all the writing. Maybe try making your window smaller. If you have Internet Explorer, then it is going to be easier to do so, but if you run Firefox then press "-" + "Ctrl".

Something else in connection with this... I noticed the "Account Problem" link is missing from the "Tip.It WebSite Theme", which is the theme that all guest users will see. Could an Admin please fix that? :-s

 

 

 

And as for the theme color changer, maybe it could be put inside a drop-down or something like that, so it wouldn't take as much space as it needs now? :idea:

It's missing because at the time, and now as well, there's no room for the link. As you can see we're struggling for room now with just the chat link there.

I was think along the exact same lines, except that it could be on two levels instead. Hopefully, if the Tech Crew decided to do this, they would make a second skin that has this option to do this in it, so that the privileged posters with wide screens can still have it on one row.

Or after you select your theme the first time, it goes into a drop down menu.

I think I've said it before but in case I haven't I'll post it again here. Not going to make an entirely separate skin for such a small issue. Every time we need something special done to a skin the amount of skins that need to be modified really make a difference, which is why we also didn't create separate skins for right and left profile information on the prosilver/TIFBlack skins. A drop down box could work but we will not be adding a new skin just for this.

e.g User Control Panel -> User CP (saving of 11 characters)

 

X new messages -> X new PMs / (saving of 5 characters)

 

Total saving of 16 characters including spaces.

 

 

 

Should stop those people with long usernames overlapping the background switcher. Simple change in the en common.php language file. No real coding changes and never needs to be checked after each software update.
