fgfuyfyuiuy0
This differs from person to person, but I found that certain instances or objects always cause me to wonder if there is something behind it or how they work/became in a sense. This would mean something imaginative or creative. Nothing relating to politics or social aspects. My curiosity comes from mirrors. Mirrors baffle me in such a way that when I was a child I would just sit in front of a mirror for hours and imagine there was another world behind it. That these false characters are us, but they are our alter egos living day by day as we do, but in a different world. This world would be somehow different from ours, but in such a way that when we look through these portals everything seems like a reflection of our own. This was waaaay before that movie "Mirrors" came out and they portrayed it differently than what I used to think as a child. So, I would like to hear what gets you questioning or what baffles you that you notice daily. -Rules- I want to clarify these beforehand, so that they don't occur. No religious implementation. That means no posting something that could be viewed as religious and could cause a debate. No directly attacking anyone. Debate is good, but attacking someone's ideas or beliefs is not needed. These are simply views that would cause someone to question if there was something mystical or hidden behind it. No conspiracy theories. If you don't know what these are then click here. Follow standard tip.it rules. Lastly, have fun and be creative : I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D
nickeley102
i agree with you about mirrors, but i used to feel the same about any reflection. especially ones from lakes etc i used to imagine that 'their' world sloped upwards, just like ours slopes downwards, so they lived on the inside of the bubble and we lived on the outside. quite deep for a ten year old also just for imaginations sake i used to imagine all the colours were reversed. Lenticular_J
Oh man, I think about this all the time. I think you're looking for thoughts on how things work, right? I just always wonder how fantastico things like language and electronics are made and invented and all of that. It just baffles me. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
Cyco_Reborn
Yeah, i've pondered Mirrors before and still do sometimes. Also, I often question, why? Why are we here? etc. My Last.FmLeekSpinner!!!Random Furry Dance!!!Proud to hate life, since not too long ago!!!
Lenin64
When I'm reading something that admits to having lied to me about many things for some time, I begin to question whether or not anything else in there is true, or if even that statement itself was true. It's actually gotten to the point where I questioned the existance of the book itself, but that's just silly. Command the Murderous Chalices! Lenticular_J
Oh, okay. Well, another thing that baffles me is light. I mean, it isn't instant, right? That means everything I see happened in the past relative to me. That's wierd. Also, something that pertains to another thread: You said goes either way. :twss: catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Which thread would that be? :) Yeah. It's only because even if you told me how mirrors were made/worked as a child, I still would have thought they were portals. Another one was that when I was little I would look towards the sky. I thought the sky was the "upside down ocean" and that if we didn't have gravity then we would fall into it and have to swim. Language was a good one, Lenticular. I guess it evolved from sounds that we made into actual "noticable" 'words' and then we placed those with meaning. I've never studied anything on language, but that's what I can come up with :D I <3 Gears of War 2. Giordano
The idea of reality and the universe simple baffles me at times. What makes everything go as they do? What defines every single thing we see and do? Why does gravity exist? Why wouldn't there be no gravity? Who really controls these things? Why couldn't gravity push us upwards instead of pulling us downwards. And by this I think the universe doesn't have a 'manual' book to run by, it can do whatever it wants. Who's to stop it to make gravity push up or the sun cold? Going outside our universe...what is it? Nothingness? Or does it go on forever? The manual to the universe doesn't exist, yet, why are we here? What's the point to everything exactly? Sometimes when I think about that sort of stuff I get a bit sad. :( But then happy knowing I am part of this crazy choatic world (universe in this case). \ "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." nickeley102
since i saw the truman show i constantly imagine that my life is being filmed by thousands of tiny cameras and that everyone around me is acting, now i pass the curse onto you. there is actually a psychological stage where you think that everything you do is being watched and judged by other people, its supposed to occur in adolescents but i guess i never outgrew it :| doesnt really fit here but i quite often think about how far people have come in terms of this. If you were trapped in the jungle with access to rocks and things, how long would it take you to make a battery or something else seemingly simple? because all the items are there to create it, but i wouldnt even know were to start. thats how i put technology in perspective when i start to take it for granted
Zierro
Pretty much everything in the world when you're under the influence. The sky, the ocean, mirrors, music, other people, nature, time, dreams - all great things to ponder about. I love abstract thinking. Makes me go "WTF!!". I was around nine or ten. I thought the whole world was a stage set-up, such as most of the world didn't 'exist' it was just made up for me. When I reached a certain age when I was older they'll tell me the truth and make me some sort of king of the world. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Nom
If you look into a scattering of water droplets or some similar reflected light and sort of unfocus your eyes, you can see little spidery threads in the reflection. They look like they all connect behind the relfection. I used to dream that there was some sort of other world in there. I'm sure there were many more things like this, mostly inspired by Rugrats, but I've forgotten them. Pretty much everything we can see is matter. What in the world is fire though? Light and heat given off by combustion. I think.
Blingkachi50
I've always wondered if our entire life is planned out, and as we move we're just jumping into place of where we're meant to be. For example, I'm watching tv atm, is there a future me outline that's head is turned more towards the tv then my current self?
