Skinzo04
Yep, Sara sword is same speed as a whip and has the strength option. Great weapon imo. Mimesenior
The only bad thing about the Sara Sword is that its a 2h weapon. Another way of strength training is to buy a berserker necklace and an obsidian sword and use them together. There are others but they aren't as good as the Sara Sword. :
Mysticblade
Someone on tif proved that the 2nd best strength training combo is zerker ammy + obby sword. Use a sara sword if you can afford it but if you can't just use the zerker combo. The Observer
I'd recommend the Saradomin Sword. Great reviews from plenty of people as it's as fast as a whip apparantely.

davidium
d scim + rune defender gives a higher slash bonus than that of sara sword by 4 although its max hit will be around 2 hp lower than that of sara sword...and don't forget it provides a significant amount of def bonus as well from the rune defender so if you are up against hard hitting monsters like nechs i wouldn't really recommend the sara sword...also the sara sword is much more expensive than d scim and the money saved from sara sword can be used to buy pray pots/sup sets to train at an even faster rate... yea some "know-it-all" peeps are going to say you can always sell the sara sword back after using it but i'm quite certain the ss will drop gradually along with all the godswords due to introduction of new equipment with PvP but d scim has stayed at 100k for a looong time >.< maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it

Inuashakent
Dharok's is the fastest way to train strength. Yay for surfing against the current! He speaks the truth, however. You all are incorrect... unless we're talking about Slayer. But... then again, a Whip is the best strength training weapon. ilovecardj
I only train combat through slayer, most people should. But as for training controlled against without. yes controlled is better but some people like me don't like waiting forever to get levels. Id rather get them faster one at a time as its more motivating. yes in the long run the levels were faster. but I would have lots interest and gave up probly using controlled =\ Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
Anatole
thanks yall, for ur added knowalge on this matter at hand... sorry i havnt replied till now... my internet went out for a while... iv been using the Bando God Sword lately.. using it through slayer on cirtin monsters that i dont need a shield for , u know for extra def, it really helps out... iv tried it against the whip and what i found is they r both basically the same in terms of speed.. tho the whip dose swing faster, the gs hits for more damage... so basically what iv found is that i kill monsters at the same rate of speed with each... and being that its not the damage u do that gives xp but the monsters hp... well id hav to say both gs and whip are tied in my eyes.. thats not to say one is not faster then the other via diff monsters, but avaraged accrost the board with the about 100 slay tasks i done i found they about equil out... and the dude that said slayer is the best idea to train combat - i totaly aggree and thats what iv been doing for some time... tho myt slay lvl is only 83 ^.^ well yall keep giving ur 2 cents and playing the game... see yall soon via this forum or the game...
