October 2, 200817 yr If you like tactical turn based RPG games, (Like Final Fantasy tactics) you might like Disgaea 3. The game has a lot of depth and customization, and the ability to build really strong characters. It's possible to level your characters to level 9999 and do well over a million damage, even a billion is possible. A common complaint is that there is quite a bit of grind and repetition, but I personally love the gameplay so it isn't an issue for me. The story is pretty silly, but it's intended as it makes fun of some jRPG cliches. Some common complaints are that the game becomes repetitive and that it has a bit of grinding. The graphics are also complained about, as the game is sprite based and looks like a PS2 game. Personally I like the graphics and gameplay, so neither of those are an issue for me. The majority of the main game is post-story, so if you only intend on finishing the story you won't get the most out of the game. Overall, the game will last a long time, and it's cheaper than other PS3 games by $10 or so.

October 2, 200817 yr Fifa 09, Little Big Planet, GHIV, Tomb Raider, Tom Clancy's Endwar, Mirror's Edge, Motorstorm 2, Street Fighter IV and Heavy Rain. All these games are coming out over the next few months, all are reccommended. Cut scenes aren't a bad thing, except in xenosaga, but I think once you reach a certain saturation of cut scenes, you need to take the resident evil4 route. Cutscenes that scream"YOU WILL PAY ATTENTION TO ME OR DIE" should be used more in my opinion. Okay, first thing, The orange Box is absolutely awesome, and why buy rock band 2 when GH4 is coming out, with drums, microphone and 2 guitars, plus a recording studio to make your own songs. The guitar also has a touchpad for slides and solos. October 12, 200817 yr I would suggest getting Super Stardust HD on the PSN and get both expansion packs, incredibly addictive and simple. I would also get Soulcalibur 4. :)

Part of the reason why video games are such a great medium is the fact that we are part of the storyline, and not just an idle viewer. The second a game cuts to a cutscene it tears that ideal away. Really I'd much rather games do what Valve does with the half life series. Make it so that, even if another person is talking to you, you are free to walk around, or at the very least look around. I liked how Command and Conquer had cutscenes after you completed a mission, they felt like a reward. One thing that really annoys me is when characters do things you can't in cutscenes, like in MGS4...
