October 2, 200817 yr I just got 72 Slayer, And i want to try out Skeletal Wyverns. My melee stats are; 81 attack 82 strength 80 defence 83 Hp And 61 Prayer. Will these be unpossible ? Or doable? And how?
October 2, 200817 yr they will be doable, but you wont get many per trip. I hear a lot of 130+ have trouble getting 30-40 kills per trip. You will need super attacks and super strengths alongwith some pray pots. If you had 70 prayer and could use piety, that would also help. Btw, unpossible is not a word. October 2, 200817 yr pray = melee protect equip= karils top and bottom, whip and elemental sheild or dfs if you can afford it inventory = one super set, dds optional, 3-4 prayer potions, rest sharks or monkfish.... you probably wont get mroe than 15-20 kills per trip, it will take a while :P good luck "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
October 2, 200817 yr I'd add them to your banned list. They hit hard through even the best armour and there is no way to totally void there hits so you need food as well as pots. (Can't Guthan as taking off elemental shield is a death wish). You can range them but you need them to go non-aggro first which involves 20 mins of doing nothing. The drops are not worth the time, yes they drop a lot of crimsons but so do Waterfiends and you can at least Guthan there. Visage is so rare it's not worth going for and the granite legs are here nor there compared to the amount of each trip. Trust the Gene Genie!

Erichermit's guide completely disproves each one of your points, no offense Cat. The range safespot method is very easy once you understand it, and just like any other awkward task, there are specific ways to kill them, which are much easier than others (like trying to 'Whip Waterfiends..). ~Zackdt
October 2, 200817 yr Ranging these is a possibility, but it is so slow I would not recommend doing the task. However, at level 88+ summoning, these become an extremely good task. You can manage around 70 kills (usually an entire task) in 1 hour. I wear Verac's Top and Bottom, and pray piety. I found the protect prayers to do nothing significant. I bring 2 pure sets and 16 prayer potions, as well as a pony + scrolls. Their drops are pretty decent netting you some prayer experience for your task. You will also manage to get a ton of crimsons, with numbers that come just short of those of waterfiends (they drop two charms at a time).

Visage is so rare it's not worth going for and the granite legs are here nor there compared to the amount of each trip. they do hit hard but u can lessen it with karil top to lessen mage damage and torags legs to lessen there range att and pro melee takes care of rest and they almost always drop crimson charms as well as rune and addy bolts and i almost always get a granit legs every 2-3 tasks so there drops r worth it and u can guthan at them instead of healing after every drag leave put on ur guthans and att the ice giants and warriors for a while. slows down task but saves your food for emergancies [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? October 3, 200817 yr As stated before, Karil's top and skirt, whip, one super set, four-five prayer potions, fill your inventory with food, and if you can use a beast of burden, fill that with food as well. Protect from melee. Pick up every single bone. The charm count is good, and you'll get a granite leg drop every once in a blue moon. The bones alone, if sold on the GE, will make your money back. It's a slow task, but not worth a spot on your perm cancel list. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

I wouldn't recommend range unless you're determined to complete your task in no less than three hours. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

October 3, 200817 yr Wouldnt try wyverns till minimum 90s melee or at very very worst 85s. AND 68 summoning with 70 prayer, 80 mage Piety is a must (flash it) NEED terrorbird with bunyip to make trips worthwhile (Unicorn owns) Need good defense and high hits often so high melee stats Black mask is such a help I would really not hunt these off task Set up I use: Slayer helm. Neitz if off task i guess Whip Elemental shield Fury D boots Barrows Gloves Bandos Chest/tassets (Personal choice) If not use something Like Torags top/Verac skirt or Karils top veracs skirt. It does attack all 3 styles so have a good mix defense i guess. I feel bandos gives me great melee/range defense and the strength/prayer boost helps with flashing. Wealth. use it Inventory Terrorbird = 12 pineapple pizza 1 super set 1 tele rest pineapple pizzas With my stats I kill 40-50 on average per trip, but ive managed 60 before. Now I have unicorn I could do as many as I want probly Its not effective or worth it at lower stats. I got ripped to shreds around 80s melee, maybe 6-7 a trip lol. no bunyip/piety though. Which imo are basically needed Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
