Ignorance of Players.

Featured Replies

well, i'll keep it short...

this morning a friend and I decided to go to GWD as i have been getting desperate for money since all other methods have failed me. we finally gathered a team and headed off. as soon as we got in there, the tanker who had lower defence then myself says: "why is this noob on our team?". ....noob? your a tanker with lower defence, isn't that a little hypocritic? so I ignore him for the time being. only 1 round into bando's slaying the tanker magically logs out. so i figured since im the one with the highest defence and defensive gear i'll do tank for a while. few rounds later, im delt a few high blows but i eat and suck it up like a man. (pixel man anyway) im down to 38 Hp and no food left. then my friend says, "dang were not lasting well today." and then the other attacker replys "yeah because we have to many noob levels."

(twitch) Im Sorry! im only a honest player trying to make a damn bit of profit, risking my arse to tank for you because no one else had the balls and the reply i get is im too noob? such ignorance!

...worst part is i didnt get any drops at all. not even bones. -.-

1. anyone you go with in a team to gwd, will almost always have very high ls points. meaning that anyone who does not do much gwd/bosses will have very little chance of receiving any drops whatsoever.

2. if you are tanking right then the most bandos should be able to hit is around 40 from range (usually people pray melee when tanking)

3. half of the people who do gwd have 'faked' their combat using summoning to look stringer than they are. by faked i mean they have raised their combat up around 9 levels from summoning to around level 120, when they actually have the stats of a 111, and then start calling lvl 115s, that havent raised summoning up, noobs.

also some people who play the game are just jerks.

"It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

Moral of the story: "Don't go to bandos." Bandos is mostly a cesspool of idiots all gathered in one convenient room. Go to zamorak. Last time I was there, about 3 weeks ago, the great majority of the people were mature and competent and it was less crowded.

i usually go to zammy, even though you get less kills and less valuable drops.

off topic: however in my case the more competent dont usually go to zammy:

i was standing at the door of zammy waiting for my team to get their kc. so when the second person in the team gets the kc, we have a talk, whilst waiting for the rest. stupid me takes off my zgs (had no other zammy item on, but had a zammy stole in my inv) and suddenly i see my hp fall quickly. i managed to survive (luckily).

The real solution is to go with friends that you like and trust. I've been to countless trips the Armadyl, Bandos, Dag Kings with Guardians of Fate in the past and every single trip has been a blast. Then I would go solo and all of a sudden the lair is so lonely.

Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! (give my guide a read :^_^: )

You just showed that you're an example of "Ignorance of Players" by saying people faked their combat level using summoning. Think about that. They can summon things that ARE STRONGER THAN YOU.

This is seen too much in this game, so do what Solidus said, its pretty much the same as my opinion.

I'd rather wait 7 days to go with 5 friends than wait 2 hours to go with 5 idiots i dont know, tbh.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

"Ignorance" - Ignorance, from the word ignore (to refuse to take notice of) the condition of knowing something but refusing to take notice of it.

I think you mean arrogance. The players you described seemed arrogant, yes.

But it's to be expected, especially with the anticipated release of PvP/PK'ing :|

^Agreed. Lets be friends :D

But with the PVP update you're going to have to deal with this, cause... Its going to be selected worlds, 900 people hanging around varrock killing eachother.

Hopefully tele spots wont be pkable. :ohnoes:   :ohnoes:  :ohnoes: :ohnoes:

I dont need a siggy no moar.

As Mylez said, that's arrogance, not ignorance. Also, defence levels are necessary but not sufficient in being a good tanker, you have to know what to do at the right time as well.

Finally, I think the biggest bit of ignorance floating in the waters of this thread is that there is a huge difference between Noob and Newb! Do not use them interchangeably!

A Noob is an annoying player. A Newb is an inexperienced player with comparatively low levels.[/counter-rant]

thats not showing a players ability. thats showing an ability to get an npc to be better than a player, which is fair enough, but half the people i have met at gwd/duel arena, dont use summoning/dont enable it. so what is the point of it, if you dont use it?

i also did not say that everyone who raised their combat level with summoning, is faking their combat.

People who train summoning and are fake 120s, are much better than 115s with no summoning.

Moral of the story: "Don't go to bandos." Bandos is mostly a cesspool of idiots all gathered in one convenient room. Go to zamorak. Last time I was there, about 3 weeks ago, the great majority of the people were mature and competent and it was less crowded.

You have to go sara, almost everyone is nice, worlds are always open, no noobs what so ever.

It must be the 70 agility mind killer.

People who dont train summoning are idiotic, ignorant and stupid enough to call people who train a decent skill noobs.

Yeah you did:

3. half of the people who do gwd have 'faked' their combat using summoning to look stringer than they are. by faked i mean they have raised their combat up around 9 levels from summoning to around level 120, when they actually have the stats of a 111, and then start calling lvl 115s, that havent raised summoning up, noobs.

Although with ' 's.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

perhaps if i cut it down for you, you might understand that i was not calling people who train summoning up, noobs:

by faked i mean they have raised their combat up around 9 levels from summoning to around level 120, when they actually have the stats of a 111, and then start calling lvl 115s, that havent raised summoning up, noobs.

note the part where i said people who raise summoning up, call those who dont raise summoning up noobs. I did not call people who train summoning up noobs. and as is put, they have the right to train a skill without being called a noob, so why cant some people not train summoning and not be called noobs? it is also only a minority of those who train summoning up, that call those who dont train summoning up noobs.

i also said half the people in gwd .....

does this mean that i said everyone in gwd fakes their cb? no. you may have missed that, but if you look at the original quote, i said half, not all.

back on topic: the reaosn it happens mostly in bandos is because a lot of the rs population can actually go there, compared to sara.

So by saying people faked 9 combat levels of their level 120ness and that they really have 111 combat, you're an idiot.

You're also saying that its ironic how the lv 120 with 9 summon levels calls the 115 with 0 summon levels a noob.

/arguement. You said that non summoners arent noobs, but summoners are.

And if a level 120 with 9 summon levels calls a 115 with 0 summon levels a noob because they screwed up they're damn well right

Note: The people who train summon dont call people who dont summon noobs because they arent immature whiney babies.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

go to duel arena and gwd, then you will see plenty of people who train summoning, calling others noobs. if someone was meant to tank and screwed up then by all means it is fair they are called a noob. by saying all people who train summoning arent whiney babies, is also ignorant. just because someone trains a skill does not mean their personalities are different to another person who trains a different skill. so don't say that when you dont know people.

/arguement. You said that non summoners arent noobs, but summoners are.

incorrect. summoners are not all noobs in my opinion, nor are they more worthy of respect than any other. some of the best (as in personality, guide writers, helpful in general people) are summoners. but some arent which could really apply to any skill.

but i have been to duel arena and faced many of 120s who weren't challenging to kill for the fact that they have something like 70 summoning (by far a good level and also an expensive one), but if they can summon something good then why not use it? if someone i face wants to allow summoning, i still accept because i want a hard fight. the familiars make it slightly harder to much harder depending on which one.

by the way you proved your an idiot, by being unable to read what i wrote correctly and argue about stuff that i never even said in the first place. oh and level 63 summoning the best (cb lvl wise) familiar is a spirit cobra lvl 105, whereas im 116. so a level 105 cobra is stronger than me?

Bunyip owns for Bandos. A level 120 with 68 summoning can stay longer than a 120 without. 'Nuff said

@Gold, level 120s usually have 80+ summoning, thus being able to use titans, thus owning :)

@Sam, I didnt mean all summoners arent immature whining babies; I meant majority.

And I think i know more about the immature people in the world *Was lv 3 for 14 months* :wall:

okay now we can stop arguing? lol

and yes i never said summoning wasnt useful though...

oh and i have seen enough immaturity to last me a long time.

Agreed most people who dont summon are rebelious against the idea it raises combat, thus calling the ones who train it noobs.

and agreed that most summoners are mature lol >.>
