Temple Trekking & Talon beast charms

Please don't just tell me not to do it, I know it's horribly inefficient but I've already spent about 10-20 times what my budget was intended to be for summoning so I'm trying to take it easy on my bank and making the best money efficiency of my shards until I come across a lot more money. That said, I'm also plain bored and feel like something new.

If I way to set out to do temple trekking for the talon beast charms, does anyone know which difficulty and/or route I'm best off taking? Using prayer pots/super sets/food isn't a problem and I'm 90+ melee stats, all quests finished should it matter somehow.

Take the hardest companions (red clothes) and the easiest route.

Evade all combat events except talon beasts. Snakes are good too if you want to sell their hides (2k ea)

Wear weight reducing gear. Use Oo'glog pools if you think you need them for run energy.

Super sets are a waste imo because you don't get to fight much. You get one talon beast event every 10-15mins on average.

Slayer ring (from smoking kills) is useful in evading bog events, if you do use it, don't give your companion food. It's also the fastest way to get to Salve, making it easy to bank.

Have an axe, a knife, a blessed silver sicle and druid pouches with you.

Baskets of strawberries are good to have.

You don't need a silver sickle unless you run out of charges in your druid pouch, so you can just stock it up nicely beforehand and you'll be fine. You do need the druid pouch though, since you're carrying those baskets of strawberries that will rot if a ghast attacks you. (Which by the way are probably the best food for temple trekking, because they can also feed all 5 starving travellers in the Birth of a Ghast event with only one inventory slot, but also heal 30 hp if you need to heal yourself.) You can do without a woodcutting axe because they're provided in all the events where you need one.

As for dealing with the starving vagabonds, I just carry 5 raw fishes with me. That way the ghasts can't ruin them. All you have to do then is light a fire, cook em and feed the people. There's a bank at each end of the run, so you can always grab 5 more.

I have been told before to take the kid and the geezer on the Burgh de Rott end and the Woman at arms and the Forester on the Canafis end.

I get nail beasts, but not as often as I need (I have hundreds of reds in the bank).

PvP is not for me

If money is what you're looking for, I found that bringing the Most powerful people on the hardest treck was worth about 300k gp an hour, with Talon Beast Charms on the side. You might want to consider this, just throwing it out there.

Really, this is all you need. Follow some youtube or fansite guides, and shape your own equipment/inventory from there.

I know you don't want people telling you not to because you want something different... but why not try a different way to get Crimson charms? I'm going to do some more Wyvers, they are more fun then normal Crimson droppers. Or you can do both. \'

he isnt after crimsons, he is after talon beast charms. they are used to make talon beast pouches which give 5x the normal experience for other training pouches at the same shard cost. :)

...Yeah....

Which is why you should try to get crimsons another way as well, as you can get the less xp faster. Or in this case, a mixture of that and enjoyment.
