October 8, 200817 yr I was wondering for Dk Maging using COG + Charge and i'm 99 mage. Would it be more worthwhile using Bandos Chestplate +Tassets or Verac's Brassard + Verac skirt? Veracs skirt has the same mage attack bonus as the tassets but less range defence, although has a higher pray bonus. Bandos chestplate has a lot more range def than brassard, but has less mage attack and lower pray bonus. Thanks :
October 8, 200817 yr Why would you wear Bandos? If I were you, I would use Guthans/Dharoks/Torags plate for extra def, with Verac's skirt for def and pray. I don't think sacrificing all that def is worth the pray, but I'm not very experienced, so I don't know. October 8, 200817 yr If you have a pony, go for it. You aren't praying with a pony most of the time so it's just more defense. However, if you ask me, wearing Bandos to DK is just overkill.

Just use guthans...if you're going with hybrids you won't have to be praying so the prayer bonus really doesn't matter, virtually infinte health is very useful, though. If you don't want to take guthans, then use veracs. Spins really don't do enough damage to justify losing an extension either on your prayer or health. The most damage i'l be taking is from the synolops range attack, which bandos armour has the best range defence bonus if I am correct? Also I don't currently have the cash at the moment to buy guthans.
October 11, 200817 yr Then sell your plate and buy guthans...you'll be getting much more use out of it, and bandos is less than 10 more range defense than a barrows plate, isn't it? and 4 strength boost is completely useless unless you decide to whack rex with a staff for some reason. The question here should be guthans or verac's, not veracs or bandos. Bandos kills your mage attack bonus, provides more range def, but also lowers your mage defence. Guthans is usually the best choice. Some people say that if you have high def/pray then you should use veracs but I prefer guthans and im maxxed out.
