Okay guys at the moment you can clearly see that im 86 fishing and going for 99 (if you dont well your problem not mine)

 

 

 

At the moment im at Shilo fly fishing as i hear this is the quickest way but im starting to think otherwise so should i stick on this track or move onto something else?

I'd actually recommend monks to 99, especially at your level. Fly Fishing is faster though.

I thought I remembered something about that, but I couldn't be sure. Troacctid knows what he's talking about, so I'd go with heavy rod fishing if you're looking for fast.

Bring a knife with you, and when your inventory is full, use the knife on all of your fish to gut them. When you gut the fish, you'll get fish offcuts, roe (from trout and salmon only), and caviar (from sturgeon only). All three of those can be used as bait--the offcuts are stackable, but the roe and caviar are not.

 

 

 

So what you do then is you use up the caviar and roe as bait, and your inventory will empty on its own as you fish. Bear in mind that you'll use up any other bait you have before the game lets you fish with roe and caviar, so you'll need to drop your fish offcuts.

 

 

 

You can usually get over 50k exp/hr in this way. It's also possible to bank the caviar with teleport jewellery, since it is fairly valuable. (Roe, by contrast, is worthless.) I've never tried that and I don't know much about it, sorry to say. My hunch is that it's not worth doing, but I could be wrong on that.

I don't get why people rush to 99 fishing, Is it cause it's so damn l33t to have a 99 skill cape? If so. Go with cooking.

 

 

 

Fishing is a way of money-making. I would suggest to fish monkfish!

seriously anything else shuold be out of the question. fly fishing in shilo is a tid bit faster but will give u close to no profit. besides when the fishing spots go on the other side of the river and u have to run all the way over there just for it to move again is very very anoying....

 

heavy rod fishing is better than shilo but also no profit. heavy rod compared to monks is only bout 10k faster per hour... if that. i dont know how ppl got 50k an hour ther or anything. i tried it only to get about 35-40k an hour... wouldnt u rather want to spare about 5k an hour and gain about 30m profit instead???

ima go ahead and hide how many total hours of ur life ur gonna waste on 99 fishing (since some ppl are scared of looking at big numbers

 

[hide=average of how many hours ur looking at from ur lvl...]u have bout 8.7m exp left. so an average of 30k an hour is looking like 290 total hours of fishing... :geek: :ugeek:

i recommend to get your fishing up that you fish in the water

Do the barbarian fishing method until maybe 90-92 fishing, and either continue doing that, or fish sharks/monkfish for profit and xp.

Efficiency wise, your statement is far from true. However, if you just want an easy, relaxing yet profitable 99, then go Monks. If you're trying to get a 99 skill, power train via Barbarian fishing. Remember, there is no such thing as a "right" way to train a skill - just an efficient way.
