As did many, many players when pvp worlds came out, I tryed my hand at pking for the first time in a long while, it was the most fun I had had in runescape since the old wildy, all in all a total blast. Well my luck turned sour after I had just finished off someone with full drag armor and for about 500k worth of stuff all without being skulled. Well after my 2 seconds of feeling super awesome I was K.O'd by a godsword by someone in full bandos...ouch! Well having just lost roughly 1 mil worth of equipment I felt the need to gather some money and heard the many cries of "buying dds max price" and "buying sharks max price" an idea hit me, running weapons of all sorts between pkers and the GE. So far today I have made 300k off of selling dds, 200k off sharks and 150k off rune scimitars. THe point of this thread is to post any similar experiences and the cash you made, happy price gouging.

My order for 1 drag dagger (p++) still hasn't bought. I put it in for max a few hours after the updates came out. Almost everything related to combat, from black d hide sets to dark bows, is very very hard to buy. I can't see anyone making a decent profit when you have to buy it at max anyway.

I want my Black D hide legs and dds. :cry:

I managed to get the items fine and make profit as well, but I placed my orders before i went to school and didn't play until 10:30 that night

Fishing your own lobsters is faster than buying them. World 2 should be back open for business.

 

 

 

In reality though, a lot of people have found that they should trade in person, not through the GE. As they can sell at max easier, and when the GE is clogged like it is now, they don't like being to it, when they can just fish out as much as they want without restrictions to players.

Merchanting is on the increase, due to supply and demand.

 

I don't have any stories to share, as I've quit RS. However, understanding the markets has prepared many people for this, I know several friends bought in excess of 1,000 sharks, Super sets and many other essential supplies, knowing there would be a high demand when PvP returns.

u can kind of merchant now too. buy stuff at mid price and sell to pkers at max.

Honestly, I think after some time, these items will fall. Pots, sharks, etc. The new system cannot replace the old system, and I hate it. Back in the day, I always pked at edge. Soon as you get one kill, you'll be pjed and soon as you stray away from a bank your as good as dead. The masses of 1 itemers and people who don't skull make pking loose money. Before this update, I was lvl 118, due to summoning. Now the new combat system, which I love, made me lvl 111. I can once again terrorize mid creator. I think PvP worlds will eventually die out and BH will take over again. Either this or we should just wait till all these pesky 1 items get bored and then try to actually have a good fight. :|

Lobsters have been selling at max instantly in GE. I also sold a rune full at max in ge, im liking this :D
