Do you think Jagex should make a new F2P quest? A real one, not just a holiday event. Im wondering how this would effect the F2P world.

No, we don't need one. The majority of the longtime F2P'ers and I are happy with what we have. That, and a thousands of members would freak instantly and spam every forum in sight with F2P 'Scum' hate posts.

Nope, that would means huge impact on PvP worlds (we all know about how unfair Rangers can be near Wildness Ditch).

 

 

 

If the quest grants an transportation to varrock/falador without wasting a rune, then I am happy.

 

 

 

But then again members would be spamming "F2P Hate" topics on official forum, if this new quest is available to F2Pers.

Firstly, F2P definitely doesn't need those.

 

 

 

And also, most of the quests introduce a new item into the game, so even if a quest is released for F2P, it won't make the existing P2P items for F2P.

I beleive a new F2p quest would be totally unnessary, one of the main draws to P2P are the large quantity of quests.

 

Similarly the amount of hate mail from P2p'ers wolud crash the RSOF's into oblivion.

No, that would upset the F2P combat triangle. Also, as established earlier, F2P doesn't need anymore quests. If you're F2P, and you want more quests, go members, it's as simple as that.

 

 

 

Also, why is this in the 'Debate' section? I think this should be in the 'Suggestions and Bugs' forum.

I think more F2P accesible minigames with much more member features would be good updates to satiate both parties. One is getting a hint of the goodness and getting things mixed up while the others get the extra content they wanted.

The RTS looking game seems to have good chances of being P2P only, but I'm ok with that.

100% F2P saying that would just be disrupting another tradition. We got by when they killed PKing (as some would say but not me. There are so many different player killing things on RS anyway.) but it if they took out the tradition of these few quests. Well I would be a little peeved.

As an F2Per myself, I can pretty comfortably say that a new quest is not what I'm itching for. I think most F2Pers would agree that skill enhancements are usually the desired updates in F2P. After all, its a pain to level most skills in F2P and something that helps gain xp somewhat easier or allows you to gather resources a tad faster (or a new resource all together) is quite appreciated. But to be honest, I think us F2Pers have enjoyed a huge amount of freebies from Jagex for the past year and that we shouldn't get too greedy with the hand that feeds us :P.

F2P's dont "need" it, nor the rights to claim one.

Well i believe that no new quests for f2p has contributed to all of the competitiveness to "the race to 99"... people run out of things to do and need something to brag about/keep them busy..

 

 

 

Kinda like asking for a new dollar menu at McDonald's.. Why not just buy the combo meal if the dollar menu doesn't fill you up? (just my thoughts)

The only reason we got those updates, was because Jagex felt the need to make it up to all Runescape players after removing PVP from the Wilderness.

 

(Jagex takes from F2P and P2P, Jagex gives back to F2P and P2P. You mems weren't the only people to lose the Wilderness.)

I think that some F2per's are getting a little carried away with the events of the last year. One of the main reasons F2p got so many updates was to make-up for the removal of the wilderness. Now that sufficient replacements (in Jagex's eyes) are here life in a F2p world will more likely go back to the norm of having only a few updates a year.

No. F2p does not need it. Yew bow and rune arrows would further overpower range in f2p. Range is byfar the dominant force in f2p. There is no need to reinforce that

Member's pay for runescape for new content if that new content was for P2P and F2P jagex would go bust as player's would have no reason to buy membership. And once that happens no more runescape.
