  1. This list caught my eye - What gives you the right?..... No PMod (or most) tries to act superior to other players. I cannot say this for all, but a large majority don't do so. How are they more important? The major flaw with your reasoning is that, PMods aren't entrusted a large number of their 'rights' by Jagex. They are given by the players. I don't think you'll find ANY where a statement that says PMods must be given first priority in a conversation. It is the PLAYERS who get diverted and start lobbing greetings/questions upon the PMods. The common belief is that PMods are a part of the Jagex staff. As such, players often vent out their feelings towards PMods in hopes that they are actually informing a Jagex staffperson that they are displeased with some aspect of the game. Again, wrong player beliefs led to this so-called 'right'. The penalty is higher on wrong reports than normal players too, so I guess it balances out? I'm sorry, but Muting isn't a game. You CANNOT mute anyone you wish. You CANNOT mute anyone you see. You CANNOT mute anyone who annoys you. If you do so, you'll find that this 'right' wouldn't be available to you from the following days. In the end, the only people who DO get muted are the people who DESERVE to get muted. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj

  3. High HP counts and the death mechanics got me interested right away. I totally adore killing bosses. To me, a LARGE part of the 'challenge' phase of RuneScape comes from them. That doesn't mean I like all Bosses though. KQ is one which no longer justifies the effort and supplies put in. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  4. Games are meant to be fun. Not at one instant should you feel fed up or irritated or the whole point of playing the game vanishes. I wouldn't mind if many irritating things were made easier. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  5. It might be the site of the ritual where the Mahjarrats return. Remember from Tales of Muspah, where you put a Mahjarrat in a cave very near the God Wars Dungeon? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  6. I would advise Local not to bother debating. You'll be cited as 'spamming' the moment you start making too much sense and demand evidence for dubious claims ;) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  7. For God's sake... maybe try thinking of reasonable points/topics next time if you really can't back them up. What a total waste of time in replying, no wonder I had an inkling you would try to slither away from all the counter-arguments. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  8. Did you not get the meaning? They were surprised that they were CONSIDERED to become a PMod as they had never/hardly touched the Report Abuse button in their RuneScape lives. And who says 'surprise' is a negative feeling? Does it have any relation with their decision on becoming a PMod? It wasn't the only criteria though. You could become a PMod without reporting ever. No it is not. I have been questioned on my statements that PMods were also selected on other criteria. I have challenged him to provide evidence that it did not happen this way (or whatever Jrhairychest claims). So far, even you haven't provided evidence for this dubious statement. I can safely say a LARGE number of players don't know how to report certain people for their actions. And to report them under which rule. And where to report for that matter. I don't deny that the players also have a hand in reducing Macros and bots, but saying that PMods have absolutely NO hand in reducing this is ABSURD.... (hold on, aren't they players too?) It was definitely being implied. PMods just helped in the "Feedback" phase. The programming and coding was all Jagex's brainchild. Well this is why I was probably ignoring your posts...Honestly   So where are the pros here? Its all negative and all unacceptable. I thought you people already knew the pros? Seeing that you have spent 25+ pages telling us why PMods shouldn't get the advantages they get? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  9. Ahh, it is quite so that some things are meant to be secluded from the rest. You've provided a fine example of what can happen if Jagex starts discussing their new procedures in detail (like questioning the existence of it). I have interacted with LOTS of PMods (Yes, the counter goes very high). Many of them very close friends. They personally admitted that they NEVER thought that they would be granted Moderatorship as they were the silent, no-report types. Surprise Surprise, they became PMods. Magic? And my evidence - From the mouth of Jagex. Crystal clear. If you disagree with this...then ahh...I think you are in "denial". :-# And you have NO evidence that this was actually taking place much before the all-important Developer Blog. And who reports the different kinds of scams to Jagex. Granted, the RSOF was a decent medium, but in the end, face-to-face or personal interaction actually notified them. Isn't it an already known fact that PMods help to better the community? So Jagex should thank them on each and every change they make? And even if they do, they have their own areas to do so. All the feedback, and most of the aid did come from PMods. I distinctly remember a Bot-hunting campaign organised by PMods a few years back (before December 12th updates) to rid out most of the bots. Also, frequent discussion and feedback actually paved the way for the changes we saw implemented on the aforementioned date. Are you trying to hide the fact that you don't have any evidence to present your case and keep demanding others to do so? (Yes, I'm excluding 1 ex-mod) So if even one does it for status, it means ALL OTHERS DO IT TOO?? I provided an example to show that your flawed analogy is...indeed flawed. You still didn't answer. So it means that ALL PMods would like to hide their crown because the majority in this case is higher? (2 > 1) This line actually shows you have NOT interacted with PMods deeply. Or even if you have done, you have just pestered them with procedure questions and things like "Why did you report?". Trust me, ask a PMod why he would like to hide the crown. The crown has its pro and cons, as does everything. Would you like to be - 1) The first one to be killed in a clan PK trip/PvP skilling area just because the Pker thinks "I h8 modz!" 2) Face requests of "gimme some money plz, I beg you" 3) Or "mah accnt got banned!!! unban right now!" 4) Be treated EITHER like a disgusting insect OR a god worth worshipping? The mentioned Bot-Hunting campaign. Again, you're trying to hide from the fact that you either - 1) Don't want to understand the meaning of a survey 2) Are DELIBERATELY ignoring the meaning to support your claims. I have nothing against this Bluelancer, but I do have something against your vocabulary skills. (as in: definition of survey/consensus...not flaming, incase you take this as an excuse to not answer.) Using other people? Are you serious? I thought they reported (not ALL of them) the RULE BREAKERS? Aren't those rule-breakers meant to be punished anyway? Darn, why would we keep rules then...how foolish of Jagex  --------- Me saying that a survey doesn't involve just ONE person is not my sole point of view. Me saying that if one person is bad, it doesn't mean all our necessarily bad is not my sole point of view. Me saying that a you haven't given any evidence is not my sole point of view. So..well...its the POVs of many against yours. :? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  10. Sigh. You aren't a PMod. You don't have access to the PMod centre or procedures. So, the brilliant fact that you never knew is that - You DON'T know HOW you became a PMod. You are just notified that you did. And before you stress on rubble like "that still doesn't explain how he got chosen", there are things like providing suggestions on who you think can be a PMod. Since you keep citing the same, the only "evidence" of an article you have got, I dearly hope you did read that PMods do have meetings (or maybe its mentioned in the KB). They also frequently interact with Jagex and JMods. Which means they are the first people Jagex/JMods would ask on issues like merchanting, bots, RL Trading. And you seriously think JMods go on expeditions in Draynor to look for bots? They go surfing millions of websites to look for gold sellers? They actually look at graphs of each and every item on the GE database to see which are being merched? Right... You know, I actually don't like the general idea you have about a debate. You feel that "If I don't have any evidence, I must ask other people to provide evidence to disagree with me on my dubious claims, since I made the thread and started the debate. (it doesn't matter that I can't provide GOOD and UNBIASED evidence, because I can carry my debate by finding loopholes in the evidence they provide)" There you go again. 1 PMod truthfully admits he wanted the crown = all PMods want the crown. I disagree. Let me use your flawed analogy against you -- You say that ONE PMod says getting the crown is important. I'll show you TWO PMods who prefer hiding the crown. So, due to basic Mathematics, 2 being greater than 1...I win? Do not say that 2 PMods is hardly any evidence...since that is the type of so-called "evidence" you are providing. ----- On the subject of evidence. *You provided some strange lines saying PMods claim they stopped Macro. You have been constantly lurking away in the attempt to provide evidence for these dubious claims. I re-phrase - You stated that PMods supposedly claim such... You should have evidence with you. Do not ask me to provide evidence on how PMods reduced Macroing (Yes, I can provide a good amount) just because you don't have any. You still haven't read and understood what a "survey" or "consensus" means. I advise you. Please do. After that you wouldn't keep citing an ex-mod as "evidence". - And I would also like you to answer these questions - --------- I never really wanted to return to this debate, because I had a small feeling that once again, if I start making too much sense and actually zero all your points down to the fact that fool-proof evidence is needed, you may once again, unceremoniously, claim my posts are "spam" and move on to exploiting the loopholes in the other debaters who actually provide some evidence to support their claims. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  11. I hope you are jesting. :^o Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  12. I was just skimming through this thread after a while, and this line really made me chuckle. :P Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  13. You didn't bother to read the last post. And no, I haven't seen ANY proof on MOST claims of yours. And the others are just cited by a developer blog. LOL? I saw ZERO evidence from you. But well, I guess its hard admitting you were wrong about it in the first place. I rest my case. Good Day. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  14. Hmm, I see you feel my reasons for the insults aren't justified. Alright, I'll make a polite little post, hoping you answer all points (which I know you won't) and actually understand where you are going wrong. Oh yes, very experienced. Doesn't change the fact that he is one player, does it? So no matter how many 99s he has got, no matter how many million coins he has got, no matter how many posts he has got - He is STILL ONE PERSON. And lets see, who bases all their claims after one person's thoughts? I think you know that isn't a smart thing to do? Saying that "Aquanites rock" because ONE person likes them? Saying that "Runecrafting is super fast experience" because ONE person says so? So that's what you are failing to grasp - One person's thoughts and opinions will not change the opinions of thousands about thousand other players. I see, so if noone tells what is in his mind, most chances are there that they don't have anything in their mind. =D> Yes, I'm quite sure. I still haven't gotten - 1) Why you base entire threads on person's thoughts. 2) Why you ACTUALLY hold a grudge against ALL PMods. 3) Where on earth is your evidence for Macroing? I'm sorry? Do you actually mean to say a survey or consensus is complete with the opinions of one person? If you agree with this, I want to stop this argument right now... to prevent me from saying my heart's content. :| So you agree with the points. So why would Jagex do it? Answer that point. Incidentally a_local_guy (current pmod) is posting that things like this arent actually going on and that his guidance is much different. So you agree but a_local_guy disagrees. Who is right? He claims this: I see nothing wrong with this quote. Actually, the meaning is quite simple and clear. So I answered it. Ok, you answered. Brilliant. Now provide the proof for Macroing. Or find another excuse. You know, you're right, I don't have to give this much thought. There is nothing debate-worthy to me here. The counter-arguments have no base, and the strong points are being ignored. I've been replied with OT stuff for particular points. I consider all my posts and write by the way, in case you were having doubts. And I also have no doubt who is ending up looking like a fool, but hey I'm keeping it polite at the moment, hoping that you see your flaws in the 'argument'. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  15. Are you blind? Can't you see you are using **ONE** person's statements? Yes, one! If you still can't grasp this, I have nothing more to talk to you, since you are avoiding this statement always. They can't have thought "This is going to happen" and not broadcast to the world? Heard of keeping your instincts to yourself until you find they are valid? I haven't ignored any of your points (which I can't say for you though). Again...acting dumb or what? You have conveniently missed my line in the same quote you quoted or lets say trying to 'hide from points'. Does one person constitute a survey or many? I said he was honest about himself. He didn't say all PMods do that. This is an irritating analogy of yours - 1 does this, so thousands do this too. Wow. I thought I was saying they were already doing this? OMG :wall: Weren't we talking about MACROING? Where did this pop in? Provide your evidence for your earlier quote on Macroing or just keep quiet and stop spewing trash. Wow, talk about hiding from points : =P~ Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  16. Firstly, I don't think everyone likes PMods. Heck, even I don't like a few of them. And yes, I wouldn't listen to just one person to know about something. (or call it my research  ) And actually, I have no problems with the changes Jagex made in case you err...'failed to read the previous post' entirely. So there are no 'nice' people in the PMods Community... Ever heard of predictions? Instincts? Getting a general idea by looking around? I have nothing against Bluelancer. Infact, I have nothing against anyone. You dragged him into the conversation, making him your sole 'evidence' that PMods are bad. And anyway, I'm actually in denial of what? Didn't I already say I don't mind the new changes? Research: 1 person constitutes an entire survey or many. And to answer your question (incase you get a reason not to reply) - he was honest about himself. Is that so bad? He admitted he wanted the crown. Did EVERY Pmod admit that? Good grief... Dealing here means talking and helping them out. I thought you had the common sense to get out that meaning since I used it along with 'interact'? I don't say all PMods are great. And wasn't this quote to prove that PMods played a part in reducing Macroing? So where did this 'PMods are great stuff' pop in? Don't have any actual evidence (didn't believe you had anyway) about that quote of yours? I provided my evidence of how they played a part. Where's yours? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  17. Maybe my post wasn't clear, or you are acting plain dumb. I don't mind/care how experienced the player is. What I do mind is that it is ONE person's opinion about a community of THOUSANDS. Drilled that into your head? I don't formulate opinions about a whole group from one person's thoughts. Well you like listening to just the opinion of 1 person, so why not me? Forget the PMod scenario, I give my thoughts on the Tip.It community, you ready to give them credit? You know something? PMods know NOTHING about future updates. (or as much as a normal player knows) More like listened to one ex-mod. I see the change, and to be honest I see not difference as most of the new PMods were being selected on their Community involvement too. WOW...there you go again. 1 person, thousands of players. 1 has a different aim, all have the same. Excuse me? By gaming experience I mean dealing and interacting with players. I have discussed this to great detail, and thankfully I have more evidence than you (which is bits of fluff). Much before the RWT updates, all the PMods launched a Bot catching lets say...'hunt'. They did play a marginal role in reducing the number of bots, however the biggest changes came from the December 11 updates. So to some extent, they did 'reduce' macro-ing but not 'remove'. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  18. However if you COMBINE the best exp, money and charms together, and compare with Slayer as a whole, you will find Slayer wins. And also, Slayer provides a variety and doesn't make you feel like you are grinding (which is the case at AZ) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  19. No offence to Bluelancer, but yes, his words are NOT good enough for me. Infact, on something as big as the PMod Community, ONE person's words don't satisfy me. Since you are, lets take your words "failing to read the entire post"...I will repeat this again - What if I say Tip.It has a poor community? (Hypothetical again, folks) I have been here for a good amount of years, but posted that much. So are my words good enough for you? Yes they aren't. (No offence again Bluelancer) You know, I get the feeling you have something against 1 moderator (probably told you to keep quiet about something you were wrong  ) and which is why you think that ALL the PMods are rubbish. Thankfully, not everyone bases their opinion on one encounter or one quote like you. How will you describe 'up until recently' in years? You can't guarantee even this new system will prevent some bad eggs from getting in. You still haven't answered why you base your opinion on 2-3 bad eggs, but meh, you want to keep the thread running with pointless replies, don't you? And I've already mentioned, getting players who were interacting with the community started a good while back. So I suggest you research on the entire PMod selection process (And not just read 1 Developer blog...pfft) and come back and reply. Are you in the shoes of each PMod? So how can you say they all want it for the crown? Don't imagine anything pl0x. And how does a person benefit if people 'look at him'? I've seen lower level PMods truthfully say they don't know the answer. And they have much higher gaming experience than an average player, which is one reason they are a PMod. OMG. STOP this trash, I haven't seen any proof of anyone saying this...so where is your evidence for this? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  20. Again, you are painting the entire community black because of a few PMods. And actually quoting an EX-Mod? For god's sake, they are the ones who actually know nothing about the present community. Many of the new PMods (and old ones) have great personalities and don't 'trample' people to get a 'crown'. Looks to me this is all your worried about? A tiny crown? No it doesn't. I can say Tip.It has a poor community (Hypothetical, not flaming folks ;)), so does that provide a clear picture of the community. I've been here for a good amount of years, not posted as much though. Would you say my claims are valid and summarize the actual community? [ Earlier, reporting was indeed the only way a person was appointed a PMod. It is not the case now, or has been for a good many years. And it is the "wannabes" who actually go about 'trampling' players (and in most scenarios they remain "wannabes") The current crop of Mods are brilliant (with a few exceptions as in every group), but how would you know? Meeting 1-2 bad eggs and forming opinions is what everyone needs. Err, how exactly do you "serve yourself" with PMod status? Except Muting, is there ANY privilege you receive? I've never seen a PMod take on a lecturing approach, but I have seen talking in the style of a school teacher because the player was that dumb. Not knowing how to open your inbox, account management, knowledge base...yes that is how thick-headed people are and they have to deal with everyday. And by the game, gaming experience doesn't come through higher skills  Who claimed that PMods are the reason Macroing has been abolished? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  21. I'm sorry, you may have gotten these kind of posts, ripping apart your first post, but I have to present my opinion. Yes, they will. You're talking in 'would, may, could". You aren't sure of anything, and neither will be unless you're standing in each Player Moderator's shoes. I have met 100+ PMods easily, and I know each of them just loves being a part of the Community. And by the way, all this 'status symbol' hype has been created by the players. It's the players who go crazy at seeing the PMod. It's the players who scream "unban mah accnt pl0x" or "Gimme money plz". They BELIEVE PMods are saints. PMods don't believe that they are though. Reporting isn't the only way to become a PMod. And well, the reports must be justified, shouldn't they? Try sending invalid reports through your account, as many as you like and we'll see when you become a PMod. *Why do they insist on giving lectures to players instead of fact? When a mod is around it is permanently littered with mod chat. There are no lectures given to be honest. They are plagued with questions about Player Support and Account Management. It's better a person fully understands a fact than just listening to it and not understanding a word. Never saw this happen. Never saw this happen either, but then you get bad apples in every bunch. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  22. Divine and Elysian Spirit Shields are away to counter strong weapons like Dragon Claws and AGS, but unfortunately, they are too rare at the moment. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  23. How about simply not allowing the ability to use this Prayer in the Fight Caves, GWD rooms, KQ and DKS? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  24. Aren't we forgetting the amount of money required to get 95/99 Prayer? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
