  1. One thing for sure is that he is a Mahjarrat. Proof - When you right-click on the image and try to save it, the name of the image comes "head_image_mahjarrat" as default which means thats the name under which Jagex put it on the site. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  2. Very interesting read. I say you should compete for the unofficial Tip.It historian position with Hippodo? Greak Work! Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  3. You see, in my opinion, most players get a 99 in the skill which they enjoy. And its an added bonus that the community considers that skill more more coveted. There are people who get skillcapes for the sake of skillcapes, but seeing that Fletching and Cooking get no respect at all now, the number is reducing. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  4. More clicks = More effort (Get tired quickly, can't be multi-tasked) Repetitious things get boring, its not boring if you look forward to it and enjoy what you do. Seriously, you kill Dagannoths with normal melee and make awesome xp, then Aberrant Spectres and make awesome money and then Metal Dragons which are a nice little break. All that is non-repetitious. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  5. Remember: Everyone plays this game their own way. There's no rule to tell them they can't run away from others, so if they don't want to fight someone, they can run away. Maybe they're on the PvP worlds simply to kill lower levels, not get their [wagon] kicked by higher levels. Of course, evading a pker is yet another skill that requires plain wit. But hey, take a peek at the PvP worlds these days. They are nothing but full of 1-itemers, 3-itemers and 0-itemers.. :| --> ALL "evaders". You'd be attacked by a person carrying his weapon and as you nearly finish him off, he runs off, taking away some chunk of hp if your 1 Defence. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  6. More effort/time = more clicking/easy boredom. Both are not similar - Cooking Click1(C1): Use fish C2: --> Fire C3: Bank all If you're clever, you'll cook the fish which never burn at your level which means 100% xp guarentee. Hunter C1: Set trap 1 C2: Set trap 2 C3: Set trap 3 C4: Set trap 4 C5: Take chinchompa from trap 1 C6: Reset collapsed trap 2 C7: Reset collapsed trap 3 C8: Take chinchompa from trap 4 You take 8 clicks to complete a whole cycle, and to get the entire xp for 4 traps, it may take you 16 clicks. More the number of monsters you unlock, less likely they are going to be repetitious. Also, These tasks aren't bad, you know, to be worth arguing on. Seriously, I'll take 4 Dagannoths tasks for Slayer in a row any day. In general, yes. But as I mentioned, then nothing will be non-repetitious. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  7. People at GOP also reveal that some of them are busy researching arcane secrets. I hope there is a new Arcane spellbook. Already, Jagex has implemented it in Arcanists on FunOrb (Arcane spellbook is one of many). A new spellbook would make this GrandMaster quest..well..grand :) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  8. Is it just me, or did you think "hypocrite" when you saw that? Why are you fighting so close to a safe zone if you don't plan to use it yourself? Its not exactly Pking that you're carrying out if you run away from each and every pker. Infact, you'll be one of the annoying group of people who everyone curses  Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  9. Time, money and effort. You can easily say whether Cooking requires more effort or Hunter. Which has more running around/clicking? That "monster after monster" is what makes it non-repetitious. You kill a Dagannoth, you get bored of them, you get a task of Dust Devils, when you get bored of them, you get another. Some tasks require a different approach. And thats what makes Slayer different or we can say..unique. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  10. This guide is simply genius. Perfect methods, even more than GWD I can say and your style of writing is simply..innovative. Wish to see more guides from you ;) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  11. The more coveted or special capes are the ones that requires a lot more effort, skill, time or money to achieve. The more easier and buy-able skills are disregarded, with a fine example of Fletching and Cooking. Slayer is indeed unqiue. Without your theory, nothing in the world will be non-repetitious. You have categorized the main theme of slayer and said it keeps repeating. --- For example, a person is a pastoralist. He has many options - just depending on grazing of his herds or combining grazing with cultivation and trade. Also, he keeps changing the grazing grounds every season. If the herds grazed in the same field throughout the year, that is called repetitious. Every season he moves from one place to another depending on the rainfall. At times his routes are disrupted by unforeseen circumstances (disasters). This creates a different cycle of season movement every year. But, like you, if we just say that pastoralism involves only grazing of herds and moving from one place to another, it makes it sound repetitious from a different point of view. --- The more coveted capes are different, as people who truly like the skill will go for the cape. Getting a 99 in a skill just for the sake of the skillcape is what is being followed by majority of the RS population and Fletching and Cooking provided great options. I provided these reasons in another thread, but Slayer is one skill you enjoy, hardly get bored, make more total experience overall and get some nice drops. Agility capes are very hard to achieve with the average xp at Ape Atoll being 45k/hour. Added to that is that Agility offers no good benefits except run energy after the highest shortcut at some 80-odd level. Fletching has around 42,000 people with 99s. Woodcutting has 24,000 average. Agility has less than 6,000. Note the difference. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  12. [it is not nescessary you read the history of all these gods, but if you like some interesting stories, read on!] [hide=History]Zamorak, The God of Chaos Zamorak (colloquially Zammy) is the god of chaos and is one of the three major gods. Zamorak is the God of chaos and evil and by extension, war. Guthix calls him a personification of Chaos when asked about this in one of his letters. His followers burnt the original Wizards' Tower to the ground, depriving the Saradomin mages of the time of much of the knowledge of magic, and in particular how to make runes. Zamorak was the second main participant in the God wars. Though he did not shape the world as did Guthix, Zamorak had corrupted many parts of the would-be orderly world Saradomin envisioned with taints of "evil" (in the opinion of most people), especially in human nature and such. Zamorak was not always a god but was once a mortal. How he became a god was once not known, and the specifics are still a bit fuzzy. However, it is now known by talking to ghosts involved with a revolt which he led. He used to be a Mahjarrat general of the army of the great god Zaros until he and some of his close followers decided to rebel. Using the Staff of Armadyl, which he obtained through a series of circumstances mentioned in more detail during a miniquest, Zamorak was able to stab Zaros in the back with it whilst his close followers (including Hazeel, Drakan, Zemouregal, a human warrior named Viggora, and some others not mentioned by name) fought off Zaros' body guards. He stabbed Zaros in the back with the staff but this did not do much at first other than sending Zaros into a blind rage. Even though Zamorak was a Mahjarrat, who originate from a plane of eternal war and thus are powerful fighters, Zaros was still able to continue the fight with him. However, during this battle, Zaros tripped, thus causing the Staff of Armadyl to impale Zamorak as well as him, thus sending Zaros' power through the staff into Zamorak like an electrical current. After this, Zaros faded out of the dimension while cursing all humans involved in the revolt to be invisible ghosts for the rest of eternity, and Zamorak seemed more solid, although he did not become a god until a short time later. ---THIS INCIDENT IS THE BIRTH OF THE 6 GHOSTS OF THE GHOSTLY ROBES. It is believed that the other Gods disliked Zamorak even more than they disliked each other during the God Wars, as in the God Wars Dungeon battle Armadyl, Saradomin and Bandos plan to make an alliance and defeat him. Saradomin, the god of order. Saradomin is the god of order and is one of the most well known gods. (colloquially known as Sara) Little is known about his past, but he has a great many followers, and there are far more churches dedicated to Saradomin than Zamorak. Saradomin's symbol is a four-pointed star. Saradomin is said to have come into the realm of Gielinor whilst Guthix slept, along with Zaros, Armadyl, the Mahjarrat and about a dozen other deities. He took part in the God Wars and fears the name of Zaros, as evidenced by the old 'Letters to the Gods' that used to be featured on the main website: He himself claims to have created the world (although there is much more evidence to the fact that Guthix created it) and some of his followers do not appear to be as good as they would like you to think. Guthix, the God of Balance. Guthix is the god of tranquility, nature and balance. Guthix desires only one thing: total equality. Because of this, Guthix is neither a "he" or a "she". Most people call Guthix an "it". It is neither good nor evil, and uses both to reach equilibrium with all the gods. After creating Gielinor, Guthix went into a deep sleep. When it awoke, Saradomin and Zamorak were causing chaos in their God Wars. The battlefield was the Wilderness. To stop the wars, Guthix wrote up a treaty for all the gods, saying that they may not interfere in the world of RuneScape (as "Gielinor" was replaced by "RuneScape" as a name) except in the form of prayer, and that all wars must only be fought in the God Realm. Guthix shows it needs no followers to exist by absorbing energy from the earth. Guthix appears mostly as a floating, hairy skull, as portrayed in the Postbag. However, Guthix is a shapeshifter, and is able to take the form of anything. It was as a butterfly when it came to Gielinor. Guthix is the strongest of the gods, and Jagex has reported to have claimed it is the strongest god, with Zaros being the second strongest. It is somewhat notable that Guthix is the only character in RuneScape who is known to be a shapeshifter besides the Mahjarrat, although the Mahjarrat have not been linked to Guthix in any way. It is also known that Guthix dislikes "pures" very much as seen in one of the god letters.[/hide] As you can very well see, each god has its own history, carved well to put light on the recent parts in the Runescape world like Godwars, Ancient Magicks, the formation of Wilderness. Each god has been given his own importance, and has a pretty long story connected with it. Apparently, Jagex has done a LOT of work! And this is hardly noticed by us. Seriously, try making up a story with so many short stories coming together at a common point. I just hope they release more information on the gods as it is quite intrigueing ;) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj

  14. In God Wars, you go solely for money. At power-leveling, you go solely for xp. And you go to certain minigames solely for fun. Slayer is the combo of all those factors. Now here's the proof - At Chaos Tunnels Dagannoths, for a number of 170 dagannoths, you make 40k melee xp/30 mins (not counting piety or the xp will be higher) + 20k (rounded up) Hp xp + 14k Slayer xp + 18k Summoning xp, which comes upto a grand total of 92k xp in 30 minutes. You make a profit of 150k+ At Powerleveling, you get 40k xp for 30 mins and another 20k Hp xp which comes upto 60k total xp. You don't make money and at some methods you even lose money. No summoning xp. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj

  16. Another thread complaining about pures. If you decide to be a pure, face the consequences! Oh and btw, the only reasonable sentence I find is about you getting stuck when targets run into a safe zone, but hey, you always do that with monsters don't you? The only suggestion I can add is that Jagex keep the "Attack Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  17. Compfreak, you go wrong in one place. Rangers do have a weapon to pierce through armour which is Diamond Bolts. As calculated by Lord Klotski (Holychaos), he found that Veracs set pierces at an average of 20-23% while Diamond bolts pierce at an average of 13-15%. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but do Dragon bolts (which produce Dragonfire when the special is animated) get affected by Range protection? What are the specials of Dark Bow under protection against Range anyway? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  18. Atleast for now, Dragon Platebody should be stalled off. Dragon Chainbody seriously doesn't need to drop further, KQ is hard enough as it is anyway. I've heard the drop rate of Dragon Chainbody being slightly lower/equal to the drop rates of hilts, and seeing that on an average trip duo we manage only 4 kills, its well worth the 9m (or how much ever it has dropped these past few weeks). Dragon Kiteshield sounds better for now as Dragon square shields are next to being worthless. (People ALCH the half you get as a drop  ) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  19. nup, no ones a "quester" thats lvl 3 combat. and skillers dont need much, they just need to lvl up their skill A PKER doesn't care if they get skill xp, coz it doesn't afffect them at all... not a valid argument and balanced players do not have to spend money on skills at all... i'm not trying to argue, just wanted a discussion uhh 75 defence shield with good special attack?? Thanks for ignoring the first half of my post #-o A balanced player does need to spend money on Crafting (some methods), Herblore, Construction... Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  20. Ridiculous. You see, Jagex never forces you to adopt the style you want to adopt. It is completely in your hands whether you want to be a skiller, pker, pure or just a balanced player. Each style comes with its advantages and disadvantages, and if you have picked that particular style, learn to live with the disadvantages. You can't get everything in the world. If you're a pure, you have that benefit of being of great use in PvP, no one forces you to keep low defence and as a result of this, you find all tasks that give Defence xp as "another method from Jagex that shows how much they hate pures". Skillers and questers don't like melee, but some quests give melee xp, so Jagex hates skillers too? Pkers don't like skilling, but certain quests that benfit pkers give skill xp too, so Jagex hates pkers? And balanced players strive to earn money, but they HAVE to spend money on some certain skills in return for less gain, so Jagex hates all players too? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  21. I posted this in a thread in Rants, but it seems suitable here too... It seems a lot of you disregard Wilderness with the main reason being that Pkers killed you for no reason. As both Wilderness and PvP worlds are mentioned, I'll reply to both - Wilderness - While carrying out Treasure Trails, Skilling and Questing in the Wilderness may have been irritating a lot of people due to a lot of pkers just killing them without a reason, what they fail to see is that pkers were supposed to do that. Eventually, Pking was designed as a duel between two opponents, where the person higher in either skill, logic or plain luck defeats his opponent. One person wins, one loses. Seeing that players started attacking people who didn't intend to PK in the Wilderness is why Jagex added Rune Rocks, KBD [at that time a formidable opponent], Wilderness Agility and several clues that make you trespass through the dreary Wilderness. You see, if there wasn't this added element of getting killed in a matter of 20 seconds, why on earth would some of the better methods/resources be placed in the WIlderness? And lets see, to a Pker, he views all players in the Wilderness as carrying something valuable. He won't know you were with an empty inventory until he had killed you. Killing Abyss pkers got them Glories if they were lucky, killing Rune ore miners got them Rune ores (which used to be 10k+) and killing players training Agility meant a little extra food. PvP Worlds - Here it gets a little ridiculous. I've read people complaining of "bullying noobs" who kill off people who are skilling. Firstly, if you are on a PvP world, your ASKING to be pked. You have 130 odd safe worlds to do your particular work, and if you choose a PvP world out of all of them and get killed, is that a reason to complain? Of course, there are Brawling Gloves that only work on PvP worlds, but its superb amount of extra xp is worth the risk. After all, no pain, no gain? Note: I had/have never killed a player who has been skilling or otherwise in the old Wilderness and the new PvP worlds, but I don't see those deeds as a crime. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  22. For all you know, if the storyline is very big, the quest may be split up into 2 parts. The second part which may be released next year would be the longest quest, and maybe both of these make up the Grandmaster quests? If you see, Jagex says this is the first Grandmaster quest..not necessarily the last! So this one makes quest 148, The phoenix which comes next year makes 149, so there we are :P Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  23. Equipment is not such a big deal as your praying anyway, so any pray-boosting or strength boosting item will work ;) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj

  25. This is where I disagree. I have a feeling you have referred to the old Wilderness too, so I'll reply to both scenarios. Wilderness - While carrying out Treasure Trails, Skilling and Questing in the Wilderness may have been irritating a lot of people due to a lot of pkers just killing them without a reason, what they fail to see is that pkers were supposed to do that.
