  1. I'd agree if we were say comparing fishing to farming, or whichever. But woodcutting and fishing are VERY similar, same kind of skill, they can be compared. You say cutting trees and catching fish is similar? :| Let me tell you this, each skill on rs is different. They can get related to each other like Woodcutting and Firemaking, but in the aspect of skills, they are unique to themselves. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  2. Well, it would affect the prices same as when trading was there. And it's best not to start insulting jagex for bringing out item lending. Players were complaining for something like this, jagex provided. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  3. Actually, the only things that have annoyed the people out in Bounty Hunter are - a) The pick up limit B) The wide range of levels which results in the highest dominating the crater (Big issue) c) The idea that upto two players can attack one, and if this is done in members Bounty Hunter, it can prove fatal. I really don't know how to solve these problems out, but a fair suggestion would be to let Bounty Hunter be like normal wilderness, that is, let anyone enter it, and there may be a level cap which enables you to attack a player that level higher or lower. Just like the old one. The space of the BH crater doesn't need to be increased, only the range between the levels. Though of course this can get annoying, I don't find a better solution -.- Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  4. The only thing that has changed is that the insane experience you used to get from range is now reduced. Well, Ape atoll has been made worthless, but isn't there still Mummies in the Chaos tunnels? Agreed that Mummies don't provide the same xp as the zombie monkeys, but they aren't that bad for you to come out here and break hell lose that jagex hates money, hates range, and hates players. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  5. No drops obviously.. I thought that would be understood.
  6. I started 8 days ago with 66 slayer and 90 strength.. I'll let the pictures tell the story.. I broke my personal record on RuneMonkey that day..:) The only good drop I got in this period.. The magic moment :P.. I look handsome in that helm! :D It was not like I played a lot, I was just lucky. I didn't get any bad tasks out of my 24 except one suqah's task. As you can see, I got my Slayer Helm and also 68 summoning which were 2 goals of mine. Next will be 99 Strength, 70 Agility, 1800 total [Though 1700 total is first :P] And also, guess what the latest trend is - My friend asked what everyone is upto, and that was the response :D Do post whatever you feel  Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  7. Oh, finally I found someone who thinks otherwise : It's not a bad thing, you were honest :) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  8. Sorry to sound like a killjoy, but if Jagex updates a very old bug then it doesnt mean that they are going to bring some related update. Like when Jagex updated the Saradomin Gwd safespot, I don't remember seeing a thread that Jagex may get out another boss with the slanted wall safespot. It can be Jagex have changed the size for a reason, but at the present day RS, even the release of the Dragon Kiteshild doesn't excite me as there quite a good amount of shields present, and the Dragon Kiteshield's stats will be slightly more than the D square. There will be better shields. Also most of the people use Rune Defenders or 2h's... Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  9. The prices will vary accordingly after the update... A person who had been dieing to buy a godsword for example, after borrowing one from his friend can find that maybe depending on his current stats, the godsword isn't as effective as his whip or maybe it is too slow for him. This will naturally cut out a potential godsword buyer and maybe many more than one. However other people may find out how excellent an armadyl godsword is, which will make them buy one, and that would affect the prices too. All in all, the prices will change depending on the effectiveness, rarity and looks. Btw, could someone lend me a Red Party Hat :P? Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  10. To me, it has made no difference at all. It only come's useful when you need to sell any item or buy and don't want to type it out. Waiting to hear your views.. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  11. The guide is perfect, it contains each and every detail. I don't have 70 agility right now, but anyway. You're hard work is clearly seen and receives my appreciation. Thumbs up! Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  12. At the above person.. You do realise that I had posted this reason as one of the "Disagreements" to avoid discussing it again. As I said, it is entirely optional. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  13. You have presented a fair idea, and I don't think I could agree more with you. However more Slayers means that the areas with monsters which are usually empty will get filled up. Also, since I've been working hard on Slayer for the past week and I am only 50 points away from Helm today, I've gotten a general idea of which monsters are camped and which aren't. I never camped at any monster, nor I think I will for now. Maybe when I reach 83 slayer, things will be different ;) But you do realise I hope that if we take the case of a Draconic Visage, you have the chances of 1/500 for a Skeletal Wyvern? (Erichermit's guide) We hardly seem to get more than 90 Wyverns in a task which greatly reduces the chances of the drop. I support your idea, but I feel you will receive some fair amount of flaming on this topic. Good Luck.. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  14. The Monster Testing Dungeon It's a totally new concept, not based on any future or current features. Introduction I'm not going to beat around the bush. I'm not good at that kind of stuff. Anyway, The Monster Testing Dungeon [Lets name it MTD for convienience) will be a dungeon/place where you could try out the various monsters found around RS. I know you can find many flaws in this concept, but please hold on and read the entire thing. The basic idea It is often that noticed that, a person who wishes to try to kill some bosses, or needs to kill a new monster he never did for Slayer or whatever reason, he often underestimates the power of that monster. It is not entirely his mistake either, there aren't guides for each and every monster. So, if we take the example of a person, who wishes to solo the KBD (just an example, mind you), he will need to know how many bosses he can kill with his inventory and equipment or how much food does one boss take. Upto now, that person has always had to go out there and take the risk. The MTD will be a place in which the player could go out and test the monster he intends to kill. It would help him analyze and plan out his trips and also understand how well his stats will work against that particular monster. Main features of the MTD -> The player will NOT get any xp for the hits he delivers to the specific monster. If xp would be allowed, then it would be outrageous of course. -> If a player dies while trying to kill the specific monster, he doesn't lose his items but simply gets transported to the main hall. -> The monster which the player will be fighting will have the same/exact features of the monster which is out there in the rs world. For example, if a player wishes to see how manu dust devils he can kill in 2-3 Sharks, but the careless player forgot to wear his facemask while testing out the Devil in the MTD, then the Dust Devil will hit as hard and lower stats as before. Therefore, even for testing out a Dragon, you will need the anti - dragon shield. -> All runes and arrows will be returned back to you after the fight/fights. This is not easy and free xp, as I have already told you, you DON'T get xp here. -> All food and potions used up in the MTD will NOT be returned. -> No drops Infact, as you might say, in this place the player only loses items, but gains the knowledge and insight of killing the specific monster. Disagreements 1. Taking the risk is what makes RS fun. It's balanced. There are quite a few out there who don't like risks and prefer to be prepared. The MTD is optional and it is your choice whether you would use it first or not. 2. Thats free xp! No it's not, and I have mentioned that above. 3. That would mean less people dieing at my training location! Sorry, but seeing other people die is not a strong disagreement. I'll put more here as I here out your response. Conclusion As you can see, it's a fairly good way for us to be well prepared and even result in lesser deaths due to negligence. As for the location, you could keep it anywhere you want, though I'd keep it in a small village to make the village/city more important. Maybe Al Kharid or Relleka. What I feel is that it should be open to both PTP and FTP as they aren't gaining any extra items from this are they? Though FTP players CANNOT fight PTP monsters. ---- Well, I've had my say..what's yours? Refrain from flaming, constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  15. I'm totally disagreeing with the topic starter here on quite a few points mentioned.. Woodcutting and Firemaking are not easy. I could list why they aren't but the others have done a good job anyway. Getting a 99 for the sake of a cape, is not what I regard highly. You're forcing yourself to work hard on a skill you dislike/like or extending your determination to battle with boredom for a cape to just show off with. That doesn't count. Obtaining a 99 means that the reward you get is not the cape, but the satisfaction of being the master of the skill that you cherished skilling. The cape is just an add on. It does look good on you though ;) ---- Quest Capes wouldn't have been released if there wasn't any thing to work for to obtain them, they are quite hard and few of the quests are boring. It's a good achievement to have a Quest Cape, and it's fun to obtain it too. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  16. I was looking for a much better, organised and less spammed-environment forum. The RS forums contain the inverse of all the qualities I have mentioned. I also wanted to enhance the knowledge of this game, and what better way than to get to know the views of the other players? Apart from some moments, Tip.It forums continues to impress me with some ingenious threads. Keep up the good work! ;) Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  17. No skills on rs can be compared. They are completely different with their own positives and negatives. Woodcutting and Fishing are no different. How can you compared a log which requires a level of 60 and gives 175 xp to a fish that requires 62 Fish and gives 130 xp(aroundish)? Each skill is unique. If you're out to see which skill is better as provided by the game, they are equal. But if you're going on the player's views, carry on. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  18. A forum for debates, but this power is slowly transferring to General Discussions, which kind of makes the DC of no use. We do have some ingenious players in here who have some pretty good ideas (like Local Guy, Zierro), but to spur the maximum discussion/debate, all ideas are posted in the GD. Why? Don't we have a forum for that? Specially for debates? The posting of debateable topics at the GD is making it VERY crowded, and added to the normal spam, GD has only half of the page as reasonable GD topics. The only topics I see in DC today are the ones which may get flamed a lot on the GD (like Dragon armours and possible monsters) and others are just questionaires. There are quite a few topics on the DC asking us, our opinion directly without the owner himself making a comment. Better for the Questionaires forum if you take my opinion. Rarely do we get to see a reasonable debate in this forum which is kind of resulting in less visits. If we are going to use the GD for all the debates, what is the point in this forum? And if this forum has an objective of lessening the workload of the GD, then it isn't doing that great a job, is it? I have posted this in the Debate Club as this topic is regarding it, however, if I do feel I haven't received the response I expected, I will be posting this in the General Discussions. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Refrain from flaming. Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  19. I suggest all go to Brunokiller's guide to learn how to hit so high : Am I the person on top atm? :D Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  20. People spotted tally: 2  [Philipj and bath] Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  21. I have completed 0.75% of the game :) Boy, am I proud of it  Thanks.. Lord Shalaj
  22. My biggest mistake was trying to share ideas with Tip.It'ers, and I have regretted it fully. ~Lord Shalaj
