magician_xy
Ok, I was just in Varrock Square, and this guy caught my attention. He said that he and one other person would get a random event in 3 minutes. I figured, hey, what the heck, may as well watch, see if it actually happens. The waiting part was boring, but worth it. He predicted his event time ON THE DOT, with both predicted people getting a random. I was amazed. Currently, he says he's going to do it again, the random appearing in 10 mins. I'm staying here to see if it happens again. Is this bug abuse? Anyone know what's going on? I'm 100% free-to-play!!! SwimmyTheDuck
It could be bug abuse, or a pattern in randoms if you do nothing.
Echocut
I always get a random if I stand in one place too long (Bank cleaning, g.e., etc.) I knew that there was a formula, but I didn't want to try it- Too lazy :) (BTW, nice duck Swimmy!) 67/99/120 Invention
magician_xy
Update: I managed to get him to talk about it a little more. He says he found out about this on youtube, but the video is now taken down. I told him about bug abuse, and he kinda panicked, said he'd never thought of it that way. I think it is bug abuse... ANOTHER UPDATE: I found a vid on youtube that tells how to do it. (Obviously, I'm not going to link to it or tell you how I found it, so don't ask #-o ) It's definitely bug abuse. I told the guy not to do it again, or I'm reporting him. I should probably just report him now. He seems like he won't do it again, now that he knows it's bad. But... should I report him anyway? I'm 100% free-to-play!!! Message me, private chat is always on. :)

magician_xy
Should you report him? Are you that much of a Jagex kiss-up?Hey, no need for that. I actually very rarely report stuff, since I figure Jagex isn't going to do anything about it anyway. But bugs in the game is another matter... What if he was duping phats? Would I be a kiss up if I reported him for that? Here's an idea: think before posting. Bug abuse is much worse than calling someone a noob. I'm 100% free-to-play!!! What980
It doesn't give anyone an advantage in the game so reporting it is useless. And tbh, most of the time I know when i'll get a random. I guess thats just what happens when you do the same skill for a month or longer.

Here's an idea for you: he wasn't duping phats, in that case, let's not report for this nonsense. Besides that, you should stop stalking this guy and posting about it on tip.it and move on with your RuneScape life rather than watching a guy spawn randoms every 15 minutes. Pinkbullet3
I think G_P does this himself. That's why he's so scared as to not wanting you to report this so he can continue doing it. ^ Blog.
G_P_Kid
I think G_P does this himself. That's why he's so scared as to not wanting you to report this so he can continue doing it. Oooh good one, quite the detective. I'm very scared indeed. Because I most definately spend my time next to schooling in real life standing around spawning random events on the massive online adventure game RuneScape for hours. Oh and before another Einstein tries to post something witty, that was indeed sarcasm, this topic is the first I've heard of this. I could care less if he reports the bug. It's unneccesary to report the kid doing it just to make yourself sleep better at night, especially if he didn't even provoke you.

I can't believe there are so many people who could give a crap less about the rules here. I expected better of you, Tip.it community. :notalk: :thumbdown:It's a harmless bug that harms no one. Since randoms almost always get junk, what advantage does he garner? It's like that summoning bug, where you could bring summons into the G.E. The catch was, that if you moved or did anything, it would disappear. Did that hurt anyone? Give an advantage? But that doesn't matter to some people- people who would rather follow the letter of the law as opposed to the spirit. What I'm saying is that bug abuse should only be reported if it clearly harms the game, harms other players, or gives some sort of advantage. Otherwise, you're just being a tattle-tale, no offense. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
