timmyx50
with talk about the upcomming grandmaster quest, i got to thinking. what really makes a good quest reward? is it the fact knowing that you did a hard task? like beating a quest most people at you level cant do? or mabye just getting rare and powerfull items? perhaps you just like the exp rewards, and watching you levels fly high! hell, even unlocking new areas and mini games is enough for you? for me, its the new areas. i really love going to new citys, playing new mini games, and just relaxing on islands were people rarely visit. so.... what do you think really makes a good quest reward? :-k Thx AquaMare for the amazing sig![hide=Clicky!]Points2Shopit's ligit, ive used it. hey, its a great way to kill time. :)[/hide][hide=drops and stuff.]Bandos drops: 2X Shard 3, 5X Bandos Plate, X1 Bandos TassetPROUD owner of the fire cape since October 9th, 20086X Black Mask Drops[/hide]
Krampell
A good reward in my mind would either be a Summoning familiar that restores prayer, or a item that lets you right-click change spellbook. That is all i ever wanted so far.

Kimberly
I think it varies from the type of player you are. Skillers will clamor over something that gives more efficient ways to train skills; Balanced players will like new, exciting things like new maps; Pures will take any EXP reward, so long as it doesn't give them Def exp; Combat lovers will crave every scrap of combat-based experience they can get their hands on; etc etc etc. Personally, I don't care what the quest reward is so long as the Quest itself has a good, strong storyline to it. Experience-based rewards are a plus. New areas/skills unlocked? Even better! I think the only quest in recent history that was released that I TRULY disliked was the catapult one. While the story of the haphazard Tyras guard was cute, in a way, I positively despise navigating through Isdafar's twisted forest for such little things in the way of storyline. (It didn't help that I DESPISED Castle Wars, either!)
Maximusa
As a skiller I hope for something that makes training things more efficient. Something that requires a high level in something to weild/use. Something like the inferno adze tbh. I suggest the inferno pickadze. (Which is the dragon pickaxe and lets you cut wood as a rune axe.) Either that or just the traditional dragon pickaxe that I been waiting my whole gameplay for.. < . < If it was a pickaxe version I would hope for something better than 60-70 requirement to use though. I prefer like the adze which is 91 or whatever. OBVIOUSLY --- If this was a reward then something lower leveled would also be required for most other people. This should be an -after- reward that we work for or something. meb
Unlocking something I will use in the future is the best reward for me, whether it is a new way of training a skill (Blood Runecrafting), some new items (who doesn't like his barrow gloves?) or new monsters to kill (Summer's End, although I haven't done that quest :P ). I don't really care about xp because with my levels I won't get a level off a quest anyway. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. Miner52289
For me, being one of the first group of people to complete Summer's End and getting to sell the Spirit Shield on the GE for 378k was a great quest reward. As a nub, getting the ability to wield a Dragon Scimitar after Monkey Madness was a great reward. My Arm's herb patch is so worth it for farming expensive herb seeds. RFD was amazing, the Barrows Gloves are by far the best gloves in the game, so worth it. Also, Smoking Kills revolutionized slayer for the better, slayer points ---> Slayer Dart runes are bonus profit. Slayer DropsDragon Chainbody (dust devil), Dragon Platelegs x2, Dragon Plateskirt x3, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x5, Dragon Spear x3, Shield Left Half x4Staff of Light x2, Abyssal Whip x16, Dark Bow x17, Granite Maul x17, Focus Sight, Hexcrest x2, Black Mask x4, Leaf-bladed Sword, Mystic x31, Obsidian x13, Brine Sabre x2, Spirit Shield, Dragonstone x5
Hajutze
adition to the above post All Fired Up - the minigame and the Adze Animal Magnetism - The Accumolator (the best ranged cape slot item for me) As a First Resort... - The Spa Dealing with Scabaras - The Enchanted Water Tiara Desert Treasure - duh Dream Mentor - new spells for the Lunar Book Dwarf Cannon - the .. cannon lol Eadgar's Ruse - pretty useful ... teleport near the GWD Eyes of Glouphrie - Crystal saw - useful for low lvl skillers (constructors to be more exact) Fairy Tale Part II - fairy rings Family Crest - those guantlets are the best non combat gloves in game (and the only useful ones I think) Gertrudes Cat - 1st pet in game (I think) Ghosts Ahoy - Ectophial there are much much more and I dont think I need to continue as you see even a reward that seems small in the beggining can change your game pretty much - a new useless teleport , way of transportation , even a pet ... for now Jagex does kind of good job with the rewards IMO. on the topic now I would like some new prayers , spells or way of teleportation (to a new area ofcourse :P) , something like that will be nice. Fools_Taco
A new slayer monster. Thats a good one. An example of a good reward for a semi long task is the kramja lvl 3 gloves, they rock. The new quest they are making will or should be considerably harder then the kramja diary but i think they are an example of a good reward.
