liv_2_kill
Question #1. Is a dragon wc axe really worth its weight in gold? How much better (exponentially) is it to use when cutting logs of any sort. I'd just like to know if it's worth the investment. Question #2. What is the quickest way to go from level 69 wc to level 75? Question #3. What is the best level to begin cutting magic logs? Edit: Question #4. What would be a good level to begin cutting yews at with a dragon WC axe?
froman11
1. yes, it is worth it because u can resell it easily and is seemingly stable atm 2. willows at barb assault 3. no lvl cuts mage logs efficiantly but i lowest lvl i would cut them at is probally 80-
theone_ian
1. Jagex has stated that the Dragon Axe cuts 15% faster then the rune axe. So yes, it is worth it. You always could sell it back anyways. 2.Willows at barb assault, use games necklace to get there. Or teaks. 3. Honestly, I wouldn't cut magics even at 99 wc. Yews are much better, better exp and you only get 10k less per hour.
pulli23
fastest willows aren't at barbabrians assault lol, the "new" bank from the rocking out quest (near the customers office south of rimmington) is much better! Well for money they're best from the moment you can cut them (use lleytia). xp wise they're never a good option.... Also after 82, combined with ancients magics the wildy spawn is very good (giving near-yew-like xp rates) First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. UnknownRemoval
If you were not worried about gaining nothing you could cut and drop teaks, as this is about 50-70k experience per hour, a lot faster than willows. Gandorf61
Use a dragon axe and cut teak logs for fastest wc experience. (Dragon axe is totally worth it) Yews are ok at 75+ but are still very slow. Magic logs are a no no unless you have really high wc and have no other way to make money. They are extremely slow and not worth the time of effort. Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig! pureprayer
4. Whenever your bored at Willows/Teaks, when you want to watch a movie on your comp, 90+, or whenever your bored of anything in general. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
GeneralTedd
1: Yes, if you want to get more logs faster (and I can't imagine why you wouldn't) then get a D axe! Its easy to sell back and the most you would lose is around 50k, which you can make back by chopping logs with it. 2: I'm level 85 woodcutting and 93k till 86, I trained from 78-85 in a little over 2 weeks (I didn't play that much per day though) on teaks at Tai Bwo Wannai. Just bring 15k-30k trading sticks, a Dragon wc axe and a rabbits foot (I made 850k off nests and I didn't have one, and with the rabbits foot I probably could have made well over 1m from nests alone) Here is a little guide if you are interested: [hide=]Pay 100 Sticks to get into the grove to chop the teaks, once you have a full inventory leave the grove and go west to the 2nd building with the Quest mark (on mini map) and look for an NPC that has a "send parcel" action. Send your teak logs (its 10 trading sticks a log) to the bank, pay 100 trading sticks to get back into the grove and repeat untill you are sick of it![/hide] 3 and 4: I do not reccomend chopping Yews or Magics for xp, if you are going to chop yews anyway go south of edgeville, and if you are going to chop Magic trees anyway go to the Elf Forests (its just south west of Lletya) Hope I helped! cat666
Question #1. Is a dragon wc axe really worth its weight in gold? How much better (exponentially) is it to use when cutting logs of any sort. I'd just like to know if it's worth the investment. If you are cutting for a prolonged period then yes it is worth it. You can always sell it back if you get bored. If you can do All Fired Up minigame to the max then the Inferno Adze has the same WC ability. Question #2. What is the quickest way to go from level 69 wc to level 75? Dragon Axe/Inferno Adze at willows at the Barbarian Outpost. Bank at the deposit box there. the Inferno Adze burns some logs which makes it faster still. Use a beaver, the invisible wc boost helps. Lumberjack is not required as it makes very little difference with willows. If you have it great, don't hunt for it especially though. Question #3. What is the best level to begin cutting magic logs? Never. Willows are fastest. If you need cash then yews from 70 are reasonable. Better ways to make cash than wc magics. Edit: Question #4. What would be a good level to begin cutting yews at with a dragon WC axe? 70 is OK but willows are advisable all the way to 99. Trust the Gene Genie! cat666
Thanks you for your reply cat :) You're mvp of this topic :P No problem. WC is really a f2p skill. In the time it takes to cut yews members can make better money elsewhere. Most members only wc for XP, either for an easyish 99, total levels or for quests. Trust the Gene Genie! Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber

I don't know about 80, but if you really want chins, get 80 first. If you want money, do Godwars or 91 RC natcrafting. You're being watched. I'm wc'in to get money lol! :) People have covered the main ones. You also get money fast by doing nooby things other people don't want to do (and f2p'rs can't) Examples being: Spin flax, even more profit if you pick yourself (crafting XP) Mine pure ess (mining XP) Fill vials (no XP) Collect herblore seconds (no XP) If I were you I would fight for decent drops. Slayer is the best way to do this but the income is only steady nothing life changing. Alternatively: Kill Chaos Druids - Pick up all, clean the ones you can but drop all under harralander. Kill Green Dragons - Keep bones and hides. If you can get a Warped Terrorbird then use that for extra loot per trip. Trust the Gene Genie!
