langer
I completely agree with you, Farming is so boring! I randomly just raked weeds and planted a few potatos trying to figure it out and i got to 22 farming, but i honestly don't get it..... the boring skill i like is runecrafting, but i find that alot more understandable than farming. I was on the same boat as you until i figured a way to plan my runs efficiently and make a lot of GPs through farming herbs. Before the trade limits, you could buy seeds from newbies or non-farmer for a fraction of their value (e.g. snap seeds could be bought for less than 5k and kwuarms around 1k easily). ultimatballr
I despise farming.. everything about it seems wasteful!.. Then I learned how to make my runs quickly, efficiently and I fell in love with farming. Now I plan on keeping up with it and getting 99 by next year. I mean it requires a total of 30 minutes of your time a day (40 if you do trees) and you only gain from it. Where is the downside? You spend like 5-10 minutes in between slayer tasks getting a new task and re-gearing up. Why not take 5 more minutes for a quick herb run? Apparently, my signature was to big. lebst
I don't farm anymore simply because I can make better money with double nature runes. Not everyone that doesn't farm is stupid...might just be an efficiency thing :D

Once someone learns to farm well, efficient and fast, then there is no reason not to do it. It takes very little time for the full run, and can yeild decent exp, and depending on herbs also good money.

So, basically, anyone who hates farming is ignorant of how to do it properly (or is incapable of doing it properly :P , which is completely understandable)
deacon377
Bravo my dear sir on your grammatical knowledge! I applaud your article and say we petition it! I may be weird, but I'm saving up to be eccentric!
Roberthree
even if you hate the skill you're still passing up a massive amount of cash for 5 minutes work.
langer
So, basically, anyone who hates farming is ignorant of how to do it properly (or is incapable of doing it properly , which is completely understandable) Well, everyone has to learn the skill first, then master it. Not everyone goes through that process. Some people can master it and still hate it. In my opinion there are 4 kinds of master. Thoses who hate the skill and only level it through lamps, mini games and quest rewards, those who hate it and level it with expensive trees and fruit trees (getting nice XP at a major loss), those who love it and do all specials, allotment, bushes, trees and fruit trees run at a profit and the last ones also love the skill, but will combine profit through herbs, bushes and specials but will plant the highest trees and fruit trees for max XP and a slight loss. even if you hate the skill you're still passing up a massive amount of cash for 5 minutes work. That 5 minutes work can be debated though. I do 2 types of farming run : the long one will take around 45-50 minutes and i'll do herbs, 3 bushes, all specials, trees and fruits trees while making some super compost. The short one will take much less time, around 20 minutes, and it mainly a herb and bush farming run while making super compost. That one is usually very profitable. Roberthree
buy herb seeds. buy super compost. put your herb run supplies in one tab. withdraw them quickly, do a quick herb run, make 60k in under 5 minutes. I really only plan trees and herbs. I don't see the point in anything else.
