No Gmail spot?

Featured Replies

You know how you can add MSN, AIM (etc) messengers and things? I don't see a slot to post my Gmail E-Mail address. Am I looking in the wrong place? If I am correct for there not being one, I think a Gmail spot should be added in those buttons below your signature.

Umm, well, two things. 1. It doesn't come standard with phpBB3, 2. You can just put it in your email and then make your email visible to other users. (Like I've done.)

There's a slot for your email address.

The other slots are for instant messaging programmes, not email spots.

It's possible as they can just use the custom profile field feature, but still, you can just use your e-mail spot.

We have a spot for email on our profiles, but for some reason we can't put our emails in it. It is above all the yahoo, jabber etc. places on the profile page.

I believe the email spot was disabled due to scammers etc. getting the email addresses then sending scam emails "from" Jagex.

Don't quote me on that though.

I understand what this person is talking about. 8-)

Does everyone remember how their MSN ID is also used for accessing their mail on MSN? Well, same for GTalk with GMail... I think what they want is to have a slot to put their GTalk/GMail address, so that they can have people talk with them on GTalk and/or E-Mail them... Further, it is their problem if they start taking spam mail in their inbox for posting it up... :P

I don't see the need. GTalk isn't exactly the most popular form of IM and as was said, you could just leave it as your email adress or even put it in your signature.

We can't use that slot. Tip.It Staff intentionally made it empty, with intent of user protection... That's why we would need an alternate slot for this. :(

It's official name is GoogleTalk, not GTalk (that's what it used to be called).
