December 17, 200817 yr Lately, I've had an idea how to train summoning. I started at level 47 summoning and then got every possible experience bonus that I could, and then I spent the experience on summoning. This has given me 56 summoning. I've used quest experience, lamps, and penguin points to gain about 10 summoning levels in a couple weeks. True, this is slower than charm hunting, but I'm more of a casual trainer anyway. Plus, it motivates me to do more quests and other things while training summoning at the same time. As previously stated, I have done quests, penguin points, and received experience lamps for the summoning experience. I have done most of the achievement diaries up to Varrock (Medium), Lumbridge (Hard), Falador (Medium), Fremennik (Medium), and Karamja (Easy). I have also done 2 weeks of Penguin Hide and Seek, which was worth about ~20k experience. I have also done several quests that gave experience rewards (such as Contact!). To cut to the chase, I need to know other alternate avenues that will gain me summoning experience, besides charms. List of Possible Alt. Avenues: - Lumbridge Jobs -Tasks from Wise Old Man I know that the Wise Old Man (after doing Swan Song) is supposed to assign small tasks and give rewards, including experience; however, I'm not sure how often the experience is given as a reward and how much. Various NPCs around Lumbridge can assign small tasks depending on how experienced you are; however, I do not know if they award experience at all. Any other ideas (and confirmations) are appreciated! :) Note: I am aware that rock lobsters and waterfiends are good sources for charms, with minimal time spent acquiring them. However, I prefer training summoning in an alternative way. I do not expect to get 99 or any specific level; I'm merely doing this for fun and long-term benefits. My main focus right now is questing. Thank you. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
December 17, 200817 yr I've just been killing bork every night and spending penguin hunting XP on summoning every week... it adds up to around 80k summoning XP/week which is good for the little amount of effort required
December 17, 200817 yr If it's your lowest skill then Juna will give you Summoning exp from Tears of guthix. I would dispute the claim of minimum time getting charms from waterfiends though, lol. December 17, 200817 yr Actually, you can do WOM tasks without Swan Song. I remember doing tons of them just to get him to assign me to kill the thing under his bed upstairs. I couldn't and after that he won't give you more tasks I think. "There are only two strategies in war. Move forward or change. December 17, 200817 yr Sorry for the dumb question, but I was taking a break from Runescape when all the tutors were released, how do you get exp from Lumbridge jobs? I know you can right click to get a job from some NPC's, but I never gave it a shot because I simply can't put myself to doing low level tasks - it bores me to insanity. Do you get a exp lamp, random xp in a skill, etc.? I'm curious because I have to get 61-66 RC for achievment diaries. December 17, 200817 yr as said wise old man tasks dont require completion of swan song if he does give experience for summon its very marginal, i tried doing tasks for him once and most of them will require you to go buy some basic equipment or smith it which is going to make it unworthy of your time Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.
