To be honest, I don't really like it. The colours don't appeal to me at all, and I don't like how it suddenly stops into another colour. But that is just me, I'm sure someone else will have a different opinion to me.

EDIT: What did I tell ya? ;)

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Sweet tag, colours make me feel like I'm on drugs, good compo, I see you've inverted a wireframe or something (?)

nice work.

Really. Freaking. Weird. :uhh:

I really like your old style better, seriously. Don't know what else to say really, that just looks like some chopped up renders and wireframes to me.

The black wireframe on the left and the white ones on the right don't mix too well.

Not my favourite piece, it doesn't have much depth, the text is flat and illegible, and the pink splatter at the front looks out of place.

I've got to agree with this....

There's just to much going on....and sometimes "to much going on" can be good...but in this case....blahhhh.

Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword.

Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!

render is bad

left right side bad weird

right side is good but empty

font is bad

overall like i've said with almost every piece you make, you have a good understanding of advanced tools, but your basics are severally lacking

Its called difference lb. or divide, can't remember.

Those aren't advanced tools stilev, all it is is gradients > a render > c4ds > bout 10 colour adjustment layers,> splatters, > a motion blur (new love) > text.

motion blur was my first tool that I fell in love with, then we broke up 'cos I thought it looked like crap.

I really think the colours totally suck. They ruin it, hurt my eyes and are really distracting. The text is very average, and disrupts the flow and compo. I agree with dsavi. I liked your old style. Right now your moving into the generic style of all PRers

lampost_sig_stark.png

What does this have to do with LSD? Or did you just pick a random drug that you thought sounded cool? :|

^ Kind of wondering the same thing.

Anyways you really need to do some other medium for a while Thru, your signatures have been absolutely horrid as of recently.

Best to start from the ground-up. Learn about composition and design, colour theory, proportion and depth through drawing and/or painting (or at the very least some basic large works). I know it may feel like a "step back" after all the work you've already done, but trust me, it will really be more like your "first steps."

The best thing to do would be to create a work of art that isn't dependent on renders, filters, gradients, pre-made brushes, etc. ;)

Agreed. Usually I find it's best to just work on another medium completely while learning about these things. I always found that when I switched mediums (like 2D abstracts to 3D landscapes) that I learn a bit more that can relate to the previous thing. Really as an artist you should be trying as many new things as possible.

There are so many different styles you can really explore even with just GIMP. Try space art, for example. It'll certainly help take your dependency off of premade brushes and will help you learn a lot of fundemental design theories.

Also I should say that now that I have been having more and more classes related to actual design theory (even if it is more of advertisement related, although it still relates) I can find myself trying stuff in a different way now. :)

The colours are a bit iffy to me.
