Solo Boss hunting

Hey all, I have usally been a pker but that is old an I wanna do some boss hunting.

 

 

 

With my stats in sig (68 summon coming tomorrow - Got the charms :)) I really wanna do some solo boss's!!!

 

 

 

I'm really excited with 99 str and soon a bunyip so I wanna do some of these.

 

 

 

I don't have a godsword by the way..

 

 

 

So yeah, just some names an I can look them up on the guides on here, or if ya feeling really helpful post a link to a good guide on the particular boss.

 

 

 

So yeah, time for some boss hunting, I will proberly go KBD ect because I havn't seen that big dragon since RSclassic lol.

Your ranging is really low, so Armadyl and Sara are impossible. That leaves Zamorak and Bandos. With your defence I wouldn't attempt either. The small generals will rip you apart. And without a godsword, so will the big boss without you having a godsword. Soloing Zamorak and Bandos isn't even worth it anyway.

I don't think he's just refering to GWD but all bosses. Agreed with above though.

 

 

 

Back when I was in a boss hunting phase when I first bought my GS, one that I liked was chaos elemental. Many people think meleeing it solo doesn't work but they're sorely mistaken. Use a terrorbird with scrolls, packed with CURRY. Never let your inventory became anything less than completely full, by using curry your inventory stays full as you eat. Use scrolls when your energy runs outs and keep the right click option box with attack chaos elemental up constantly for when it teleports you. You'll have trouble finding a guide for this one, it's very empty.

 

 

 

When you get bored of that, KBD is a nice and easy (although fun) one to tackle. If you get 80+ defence you might be able to kill a kalphite queen in two trips.

 

 

 

If you want easier, try giant mole, easiest boss in RS but you'll always get your cash back from claws and hides.

 

 

 

Umm... Other then that, mith drags? IDK if you'd consider that a boss.

Kalphite Queen as mentioned by the poster above. It isn't terribly hard just bring veracs and get your defence up to atleast 75+.

I will say to start you should do the Giant Mole, easy to kill, close to bank and if lucky you can make between 100-500k/hour there depending on nest rewards.

 

 

 

After that is the King Black Dragon, this would be preferable to solo range but you will only manage around 3 kills per trip. I can't give you a good set up because, as we all know, I fail at KBD Solo'ing.

Definately dont solo kq. I get 1-2 kills a trip with a yak and maxed cb on slayer task with sgs. in 70 solos got 2 d2h but used over 1m in supplies.

 

 

 

doing half kills each trip is not worth it one bit trust me on that.

 

 

 

KBD is fairly easy, id reccomend him for fun, but his drops arent really anything special. unless you got a rare visage

I don't think the bunyip will help all that much on soloing bosses. A war tortoise is the way to go to stock and extra 18 sharks/pots etc.

 

 

 

I cannot see your stats where I am now but I started with soloing KBD, then tried bandos (managed 1 per trip with tortoise, whip -- there are guides around on how to do bandos) tried kq once but it took me 2 trips to finish her off (and besides, it is hardly worth the effort now). Chaos elemental is also an option but quite a pain to fight solo (if you do, use curry for food - so it cannot unequip your stuff -- eating curry heals 18 or 19 and leaves a bowl in your inventory)

Oh, another piece of advice, try it out with some crappy equipment (like glory instead of a fury, rune boots instead of dragon) the first time so if you die, you wont lose all that much. ;)

Kalphite Queen: not worth it at all, too many supplies used, crappy secondary drops, and annoying to kill.

 

 

 

King Black Dragon:this is fairly fun for a first time boss hunter, its also fairly easy. there is a chance for a visage, but don't count on it. secondary drops are okay, considering you can kill multiples per trip. just take an antifire pot, teleport out, food, and a prayer pot or two. oh, and a pure set. maximise mage defense, pray melee.

 

 

 

Corporeal Beast:next to impossible to solo, forget it, move on. :arrow:

 

 

 

 

 

Giant Mole:this can be fun, but the rewards are a little lacking. hell, when I'm bored, I'll go back to kill this critter sometimes. just go down with A LANTERN(DON'T FORGET) and either a prayer pot or some food, super sets, a whip and go nuts. :

 

 

 

Dagannoth Kings:maging is out of the question i presume? hybriding would be very hard to do due to your fairly low range and defense.

 

 

 

Godwar Bosses.

 

no.

 

Graar'Dor: his range attack will WTFPWN your defense.

 

 

 

Zilyana: no personal experience with this one(I hate agility) but from what I hear you need good range for it.

 

 

 

K'ril tsutsaroth: minions will WTFPWN your defense. oh, and K'ril has a nice little trick where he screams at you, and melee's through your prayer, draining it in the process. have fun. :thumbsup:

 

 

 

Kree' arra: cannot be hit with melee.

 

 

 

Chaos Elemental: just plain annoying, teleports you all over the place, makes it frustrating to melee. it can be done, but ranging is more effective.

 

 

 

Mithril Dragons: shouldn't TECHNICALLY be considered a boss. they can be killed quite easily. inventory of food, super set, 3+ prayer potions, maximise mage defense, pray melee, I have heard that a leaf bladed sword is better than a whip against em, ain't tested it yet.

With your stats the most fun would probably be KBD. Though I would SERIOUSLY recommend getting your mage/range/defence up, they are really terrible. Get them to at least 80 then try DKing. It's very easy and very fun and very profitable.

They can do it, easily, most likely not. Defense is a very important stat for god wars but his should be ok. I started doing it around the same def level (little higher).
