What Joe was trying to say was that this joke is a display of immaturity. At least he was making an attempt to be nice and help you out, even if he disapproved of this kind of procrastination. If you don't get the joke that doesn't make you young and stupid. But if you make a joke like this, it usually does say something about your maturity (or lack thereof) ;)
