3PointMan
I'm getting 70-80 construction. Is it better to do larders the entire way, or should I switch to doors at 74? By better I mean, which is cheaper and which is faster? I'm using Stealing Creation Hammers as well. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1

Surfa7
Doors and larders cost the same amount per xp and because doors are quicker, you should do doors. Click for blog

tripsis
oh ok thanks, they're not flatpacked are they? adn what level is a dungeon? You can build a dungeon at level 70 and a treasure room (which is in a dungeon) at level 75. And no, they cannot be flatpacked. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

bedman
another question (didnt want to make own topic): Whats the xp you can get with one hammer? A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
baileydafrog
xp is gained through the materials used not the item made making the doors faster xp as more oa planks are used :)
rsInvestorr
Have you though about training with teak? Legends cape: 3 teak + 1 cape of legends - 300xp 1 teak = 100xp 1 teak plank is currently 780 in the GE Cost per xp: 7.8gp Xp per trip: 2700 Oak Door: 10 Oak plank - 600xp 1 oak plank = 60xp 1 oak plank is currently 436 in the GE Cost per xp: 7.3gp Xp per trip: 1200 Finance wise you come out a small bit behind with teaks, but it only takes half the time, and if you can buy planks at the minimum price (I always do), teaks are better gp/xp as well. It takes more than half the time since a larder uses 8 oak planks at once, while a teak thing only uses 3. Less banking though. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h! teatonev
If you're keen on teak (which you should be given the price) consider building ranging pedestals in your combat room from level 71 onwards. Eight teak planks per build.

rsInvestorr
It takes more than half the time since a larder uses 8 oak planks at once, while a teak thing only uses 3. Less banking though. You are also forgetting that you can make 9 per invent of teak (for 2700xp) and only 3 with oaks(1200xp). Even if oak doors were twice as fast to make as legends capes (they aren't), you still come out behind XP wise. You can concentrate on making money for money's sake and con for con XP and come out ahead with teaks any way you look at it.

rsInvestorr
D'OH! I forgot about the hammer, saw, and money. I will still take the Pepsi Challenge any day though. One inventory gets you 2400 xp, compared to 2 inventories of oak at the same xp. You lose more money that way, but not much more, especially if you are not inpatient and buy your teaks at min. I use the time saved to do more profitable things, ending up with an overall higher xp and gp per hours played. It is all about economical use of your time. JohnPax
No matter what you do in construction you get the same exp per plank type, it's a matter of which build takes the most planks.

Doors are definitely faster. I dont really get how he does it so fast though. He gets 200-300k xp an hour, with oak larders I managed like half of that if not less (long time ago, cant reallyremember..) A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
