That statement is untrue, there are many things (some hidden from the public) that can be alched for profit, some are more unusual, such as dragon weapons, and some many be common but just unexpected. Hunt around. :thumbup:

You are forgetting these are both from the Lunar spell book, which requires quests to be completed. Maybe some people do not want to do quests (hatred, pure etc.) or prefer to do alching. :thumbup:

If you think of some items to buy under market value then this is a rather slow method and not that profitable as you think.

No, you will lose money on addy plates, even if you can find enough on the GE to buy in bulk. Unless you get them well below market price, but even then you can't make anywhere near 108 per plate.

dragon mediums... buy at min (59 720) and wait, wait ....wait.... wait....

 

I got 1,3k d meds this way. with nats around 230-240, you can make a whopping 40 gps per alch! I have the feeling that the G.E.'s floor prices of items are set so that High Alching items would not yield a bigger profit than marginal over the the cost of the nats.

Don't count on alching to make any profit because it wont (at least it shouldn't)

 

 

 

anything that breaks even is considered very good and losing little money is also considered good when alching. asking for the item though won't get u too many answers because once others know of the item it will surely not be the "best" to alch anymore.

Bring alch runes on your next monster hunting trip. Alch drops that are mith and higher, or steel platelegs, 2h, and platebodies. :P

 

 

 

Do the lumbridge diary until you get the ring that gives a few low alches. Then pick random stuff off the ground and cast alches on the random stuff. At worst, you'll break even. You might even get 1-2gp per item! :thumbsup:

 

 

 

Seriously, though, it's hard to find stuff to hi-alch for even a small loss.
