Death animations

Featured Replies

I'd like to see some cool death animations, instead of the always seemingly stupid animation that exists for all monsters, which makes it look like the spines are ripped out. I'd just like to see some neat stuff, like when fighting a dragon its head gets chopped off. Doesn't need to be gruesome Mortal Kombat. But it'd be cool to see the critical hit that kills the beast!

Well, I see your point. What I think is that there should be red blood then you kill knights or warriors. And green blood then you kill king black dragon. Yeah, I like that idea. By blood I'm not meaning blood rune. By rune I'm not meaning rune weapon. By, oh whatever. Anyways I want real blood to come after monsters die.

Not gonna happen, Blaziken. This is a friendly family game (honest...), Jagex isn't going to have blood goring outta things.

Although, a little cut scene of someone dying would be funny. You know the kind, right arm extended out, left palm on chest, falls backwards stiff as a post. Coolio.

The Simpsons sometimes has blood in it. I don't know for how many times, but it is a family show isn't it?

Yes for the new animations of death.

About the blood, lets face it, its not very "nice", but it wouldn't shock anyone.

Im with bubsa on this one. This game is for young kids too, and i dont think blood will ever appear. I do think they should have different death animations for each monster, or atleast each class (dragons, humans, etc.). As for the simpsons, i never really watched it, but im pretty sure thats the equivelent of pg-13.

Hey up all game for a cut scene here and there, but that would get boring sooner or later unless JaGeX comes up with new scenes like they do ridiculous updates (rofl).

And NO!, there will not be any "Mortal Kombat(Combat?)" type deaths, never on runescape, not going to happen. Unless of course JaGeX comes up with "Runescape3: Reloaded" lol just kidding. But nah I dont think JaGeX would have that much content in the game.

Note: I said no MK style stuff, more like bloodless critical hits. I don't think losing a head, or a stab wound, or skeletons falling apart is bad.

I don't necessarily agree; I'd have to see the animation first. Anwyays, I think RS is fine, no more violence is necessary.

If you guys want more violence and profanity, there are plenty of games out there, sadly, that supply more than enough. Sorry to sound preachy, but we need wholesome things mixed in these days, and I'm proud to pay JAGeX 5 bucks a month to run a wholesome game.

I'd like a better death animation made, although I can body hump by using the current animation + standing over the dead player and burying a bone on top of the body that's fell over.

The current ones fine

Yes, a very good idea. I think the monsters or humans should drop on their knees, wobble a bit, then hit the ground.

Sup noobs.

I was just thinking about thing. I dont like the idea of blood, but i would like if the maybe fell backwards or different ways sometimes

I find it kind of funny how we are all talking about new ways things can die

i blame it on my old days of playing crash bandicoot on ps1 (now that had death variety).

id like to see the "bad actor death scene" which entales alot of stumbling around and saying "ya got me" and taking about 15seconds all up to die

Maybe a little bit of blood would be okay, but I don't want to see it flying everywhere when I next PK someone.

i like the idea of death animations and blood, but the death would like spray all over the place quetin tarantino style that'd just look stupid, just little blood runs on the floor when they fall to the floor, and when you kill a duck in the water, the water around it shud turn red. i know this'll never happen but ya gotta admit a little bit of violence n gore aint gonna send 8 yr old kids to a psycheatric ward is it, in fact i think they'll like it! lol

I dunno, I thought the water turning bloody was pretty gross, and I'm over 21. You never know what will mess someone's mind up. It doesn't even have to be violent-I bet Rainbow Brite drove people mad.

with the graphics that runescape has any blood would probably look REALLY crappy

I'd like it they did it to a quest monster that you only have to watch die once....but watching green dragon death animation over and over and over and over....you get the point.

i know...and i just thought of something even better. Maybe when you kill a monster, you will get a random heavy blow on the monter and it'll break in pieces and dissolve into the ground. OR you could have the monsters fall like a brick wall and have its soul with devil wings and fly down towards hell. Just a suggestion.

Sup noobs.

well maybe if their were random emote's that happend they have the normal one, say they die form mage the detrialise or range they stumble foward and down like people when theyre stabbed and things like that woulkd be cool.

I always think of the dieing animation looks like the dying things is bowing down... Kinda rewarding when ppl bow down to me just before dying then i pk them... LOL
