I wanna get the rune defender but what minigame should I play? And what should I bring?

 

 

 

How many Cyclops do i need to kill to get one? Its random right?

 

 

 

Or is there any other shield that is almost as good as a rune defender?

Play the mini game on the first floor where you need to kill suits of armour. if you havent already got any other defenders it might take upto 3k tokens to get the rune def. Its the best "shield" IMO

fight a rune armour set, if you're too weak to fight it efficiently you can use a halberd or range or mage from safespot using the machine, they drop 40? tokens per kill and you'll probabl need 500-1000 from bronze-rune less or more depending on your lucky and how fast you kill them

figth the mith armors or hally/mage the rune armor, thats best way to get tokens without wating food etc

 

it takes quite a lot tokens to get a bronze def, from bronze-rune is not that long...

 

dont forget to leave the room every time u get a new def

You need to appreciate that you may be very unlucky. 7.5k tokens and then I get rune defender-rune defender in 2 drops. Just my luck.

well some people say that ring of wealth increase the change of dropping defenders so I will use it =)

You really shouldnt ask questions that are waay hard to actually 'time'.. :?

wealth does not increase defender drop rates. Use berserker or warrior. Or life <_

Wealth doesn't effect the drop rate of defenders

Personally I killed mith armor for 3k tokens. By the time I finished using the tokens I had 21 rune defenders. I used wealth, should help the other drops somewhat.

Wealth does not help drop rune defenders, it is a non-related dropable item. -.-

 

Times will vary a lot, the most prominent pattern however is that you either have trouble getting the bronze and iron defender, OR you have trouble getting the addy and rune defender.

 

When you get stuck, it may take a long time to get it (took me 8k tokens to get a bronze).

 

I'd estimate 3 days getting to rune, and if your one of the lucky ones, (its easier to get rune than it is to get bronze) then you could easily get 5 rune defenders in 4 days, but if your not, it may take you longer.

 

 

 

Definitely use the mithril set, the rune set is just so stupid because it hits way too hard and the level is based on your level and its just dumb to fight it. When I was getting my tokens, I could easily kill two of my mithril before they could kill one of their rune because they were too busy eating like crazy and barely hitting. This is what I did:

 

 

 

1. I bought some curry in the food shop.

 

2. Kill mithril armor until I reached a healthy 3k tokens.

 

3. Banked bowls (they sell) and bought pizzas/curry.

 

4. Went up, remembered to set my defender (you don't have to do this for bronze), and found the corner where I could get at least 3 cyclopses and 1 was at least one of the lower leveled ones.

 

5. Picked up ALL drops above iron, after the chick tells you you have 1 minute left, I picked up the remaining big bones around me for extra money.

 

6. Sell ALL drops above iron at the second floor for food money and profit.

 

7. Banked Big Bones and Black Knives (I ended up with around 100k in gp sololy on black knives getting to bronze defender).

 

8. You should easily have enough money now to buy curry and curry & pizza for your next run.

All of you are doing it the long way.

 

 

 

Best way is to use the OoogLoog pool for infinite run and use the shot putt. This is done from run energy, which depletes by 20ish every throw. However with infinite run, you will get it back. Just do this until it runs out and you will have loads of tokens.

 

 

 

Wealth does help, it's classed as a rare drop from the cyclops.

Id say 75/75/75 for rune armour fighting with torags because its worth the food to kill it.

Im on a bronze defender, and its taken me about 1.5K tokens, all of the time I was wearing a ring of wealth.
