cat666
They are not affected by the Gauntlets. Even at 99 cooking you will still burn Monkfish (all be it very rarely). Trust the Gene Genie!

Troacctid
Try 90. That's a good level where you mostly stop burning them. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
Mercifull
I think I was about 94 when I stopped noticing I was burning Monkfish. You still burn the odd few at 99 but if you operate the cooking cape and use the Lumbridge range then you will hardly burn any at all. Horatio666
Unless you want the xp then you could just sell the raw monkfish buy then but the cooked monkfish, you'll make a small profit (but it's only 60gp per fish at this time) Currently, cooked monks are going up in price and raw are going down (but by a very small amount) "Probably the worst thing I do is take bubble baths. Cptbaker08
If you do want the exp, fish the monkfish then sell those and buy raw lobsters/swords and cook those with the gauntlets so you won't burn them. SportsGuy
I REALLY disagree with the contention that gauntlets don't help. I KNOW it's been stated, but I have just had different results with it. My cooking levels aren't that high and if I'm cooking on anything other than the Lumbridge range, I'll burn 5 or 6 monks out of a load of 28. With the gauntlets, two or less...down to none. Perhaps it's a hidden update, but I don't cook those fish without them now. I tried it and it seems to work.
