Unlike the Best song competition help by the staff here a few months ago this is nothing more than spam. a topic about a specific band can produce some great discussion but all this does it get people from all over the forum, mostly people not from OT, to come here and make a post before wandering off again never to return. A thread should be about discussion and in its current state this thread fails to even begin one. A good idea for a music related thread could be "Have you bought any albums recently and why?" This could start a discussion on a whole range of new bands that have come our recently. I personally think that 2005 has been one of the best years for music for a long long time and I have bought many many albums this year by bands that 6 months ago were still playing in a mates garden. This could start a discussion on a whole range of new bands that have come our recently. I personally think that 2005 has been one of the best years for music for a long long time and I have bought many many albums this year by bands that 6 months ago were still playing in a mates garden. You got a wonderful concept for a thread in your head. But instead of making it you complain about others making threads like these, that doesn't get you very far either, does it? Maybe when I get home I will begin writing up a detailed post. Oh yeah and that game you were talking about. It helps people who may end up going "Hmm... sounds like my kinda deal, I should check them out!" Of course that leads to the music elitists who come in and start ranting, "OMG that is SUPER SCREAMING DEATH METAL not GOTHIC DEATH METAL what kind of music fan are you!??! :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:" and turn the threads into complete trainwrecks.
