AdioLovesSquall
So, I've been putting metal down for a bit and relaxing to some Slowdive (who I find better than MBV!), and I've also been listening to the cocteau twins, etc. - anyone else a big fan? Jernlov
Yes. - My Bloody Valentine - Spiritualized - Slowdive - Sigur Rós (second album) - Blonde Redhead - The Jesus and Mary Chain - M83 - The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Cocteau Twins All dreampop/shoegaze bands that I enjoy quite a bit. I don't think that Slowdive is better than MBV; I like them about equally. I think MBV's abstract sound is really good to just relax to. Slowdive can make me feel really down and depressed sometimes. How2PK
Yea, Cocteau Twins. Who doesn't love them. I think I mentioned This Mortal Coil earlier to you, Adio? That 4AD project, with Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance and other 4AD acts covering artists from the 60s and 70s. Lateralus
Nowhere by Ride is a great shoegaze album. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
Nadril
Would Jesu be considered Dream Pop/Shoegaze at all? 96RZDup-yxE It's an incredible song, not sure if it would be classified under the genre or not. I'm going to keep an eye out on this thread though. :)

Intriguing
Do Alcest count? I also like Sigur Rós and M83. It's a genre I enjoy, but I haven't fully gotten into yet. I'll definitely be stealing some bands from this thread. Silver, are Blonde Redhead Shoegaze? I love them, but I didn't think they'd be classified as that.. Cool. Johannas
http://www.myspace.com/pregomusic Probably the most underated band for this genre ever. Tell me what you think.... I know it takes a required taste, and i'm sorry they're not an American band but honestly i love the music. And for those who have heard of a band called Fightstar, the lead singer of this band is this brother. Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig! Jernlov
Bump to cure cancer of teenage angst bands and parody threads. Let's all discuss Have a Nice Life. Deathconsciousness On my first listen of Deathconsciousness, I was bored. I was expecting dronegaze, and I didn't get any dronegaze. :< But I'm listening to it again now, and I'm being blown away. The second track of disc 1, Bloodhail, is amazing. It's so relaxed, even beautiful. Steam | Soup | Last.fm
How2PK
Last week I discovered a pretty good act. it's called Grouper (Liz Harris, whoever that may be). I ordered her last album Dragging a dear deer up a hill. It's really good and dreamy. So far this is the only record I've heard and I can't find much information about her, so I can't say much about it. Pitchfork wrote something about this record: Album review LastFm MySpace Enjoy. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Jernlov
^^ Thanks. One of my online buddies showed me a Japanese shoegazing band called Hartfield. They are no My Bloody Valentine but I still think they're a good band. They make music not far off Loveless-era My Bloody Valentine, but more poppy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOnfHDBW7SA Steam | Soup | Last.fm

MoodJuice
I heartily suggest Bailter Space's album Vortura to any and all shoegaze fans. Zierro
This genre does nothing for me. I'd rather gaze at my shoe than listen to Shoegaze. Just sounds like a bunch of musicians who seek to be creative and stand out, but ironically they just end up like everyone else. If only it wasn't for their submission to that invariable formula of theirs. :|
laucha
, Cocteau Twins, , , etc.... These are some bands of shoegaze that i know, give them a try; you probably end up enjoying at least one of them.
How2PK
I never knew the Chameleons had a dream-pop record. Thanks for sharing. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
