deathdrow
This lady was doing a presentation at my school about black history month. Most ignorant person I've ever heard present something. I would have called her on it, but the auditorium was filled with 300+ kids, and I'd just get yelled at by the [wagon] jock kids, and the [bleep]y preppy kids. And, there are a couple of black kids who have guns. I don't wanna get shot.

I really don't understand why we have a black history month its just saying that black people are so much better then everyone else so they need to have their own history month. I wonder why there is no Asian history month, since they were discriminated in the U.S. How about White history month? I think there is A LOT of history to be learned there. If someone says " I'm proud to be black" then people don't mind but when I sometimes say ( just to see a reaction) " I'm proud to be white", some people call me racist  99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010

The email said It was considered fine to have a black history month, but if we had a white history month, It'd be racist. She's now convinced that her friend is a racist. Giordano
The idea behind the "Black History Month" is that we 'celebrate' the other 11 months of the year as White history months because most of taught history revolves around them. And the fact that we still must feel "pity" upon the blacks for being slaved and separated. Yet, we don't see an Asian History month. Specifically Japanese History Month. But hey, we make that up for recognizing the Hispanics! Hispanic Heritage Month, couldn't give us History since we don't got none! mmmcannibalism
I never got how the other 11 months are white history month, seriously almost every chapter in my ap us history book has at least a section devoted to racial minorities in the us. I mean if your studying american history and it just so happens most of the main figures in the history of a mostly white country are white it really cant be helped. I mean if were going to let that apply isnt every african country being horribly racist by talking more about black people then whites? as always sorry if that came off racist. If somebody think that's racist let their idiotic minds think that. And for reasons you stated, is why people loath Black History Month. It sounded like a good idea the time it was created, like Affirmative Action. But through time we saw the pointlessness in it. The solution to racism isn't throwing out the minority cards, but understanding that we're all humans. Exactly why I don't like when people refer to Presdient Obama as "the first African-American president". I mean we are all humans why do you have to segregate him by calling him the first black president, it is just making it seem like there is a bigger barrier between races then there really is. To me he is just American and just because he is black it does not make him different or better then any other president before him. 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010

BlueLancer
Black people in general are more likely to be physically able than other "races". Asian people in general are more likely to be skilled in analytical/organised thinking than other races. White people in general are much more likely to be skilled in planning businesses/extracting resources than other races. I've never been racist and had friends from nearly all continents since childhood, but I don't feel any need to be politically correct. People do have physical differences. I've observed it all the way from kindergarden to the military. Ignoring physical realities and statistical probability (such as east asians having an average of 105 IQ, or 5 points above western white people at 100 IQ) [1] is hypocritical and illogical. That doesn't give anyone the right to discriminate though. I don't hate anybody for their skin color or attributes even subconsciously. Why would you hate someone for something they can't change? White people in general are much more likely to be skilled in planning businesses/extracting resources than other races. There is scientific evidence to back much of this up now, too! There's a study in particular that deals with the elasticity of the ligaments in black people which increases the effectiveness of certain physical actions, such as running, jumping etc I hate when stuff like this is written off as stereotyping.
