Possible format for Development Diaries

Featured Replies

Since people are quite unsure of how these Diaries will really look, I'm sure you would like an insight on a *possible* format for these.

Recently, FunOrb site had a major revamp, and it released it's first "Developer Diary", which isn't exactly very long in length and just talks about an upcoming game they are developing.

They have posted a few new pictures, along with the problems they faced while developing the game also along with the people who were involved with the making.

I can't say this for sure, but it sure looks like the RS Development Diaries will also be somewhat similar.

Thanks..

Weren't there development diaries put out around when summoning was released? I think they'd follow the same format.

I don't know what they'll look like, and I don't care, I just want some! ::'

There are allready development diaries somewhere on runescape.com

We have had some for summoning, some for HD and one for RWTing.

There were quite a few before those, too ;) The first of which being this. They've also done away with BTS before too, didn't really last very long :P

Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^

I think he means that we're unsure if they'll use the same really long development diaries, or if they'll have these really short ones like they just made on FunOrb.

I think Lord Shalaj is right. They'll probably only have really short development diaries like the one on FunOrb.

EDIT: By the looks of the FunOrb Development Diary it appears as though it might be updated like a blog as the release gets closer. RuneScape Development Diaries of the past were just one giant post, it's possible the new RunScape Development Diaries will be more like a blog(I think MMG said something like that, come to think of it.).

Example(Of course each one will have several paragraphs and several pictures, but this is just an example):

March 15th

This is what we did __________, here are some early beta pictures [ PICTURE ]. We had some problems with _________. Etc..

March 27th

Now we have done ____________. Here are some new pictures [ PICTURE ]. We will now work on doing ___________.

May 8th

ETC.. ETC.. ETC...

I don't know what they'll look like, and I don't care, I just want some! ::'
