March 15, 200917 yr Since the new update of random events I've been getting a lot of Skill Lamps... since they're what I usually choose from mystery box. and anyway I was just wondering what you think is the best skill to spend them on, so far I've just been spending them on Runecrafting since I figure that that skill is the hardest/takes the longest to train... so yea, tell me what you think. March 15, 200917 yr I've always just used them on my lowest, hardest skill. So if your lowest skill was something like cooking, which is ridiculously fast/easy to train, don't bother using lamps on it. I've always used mine on slayer and then summoning (when summoning came out). I hate combat so they're my lowest skills. Looking at your stats, runecrafting does look like the best option, in my opinion. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

March 15, 200917 yr Runecrafting or summoning. I would do summoning as with penguin points and aim for 88. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
March 15, 200917 yr i always spend it on mining, but thats cause im training mining ;) 2,274th person to 99 mining
March 15, 200917 yr I usually put it on summoning. The way I look at it is thats its either going to be expensive or slow to level, or both.
March 15, 200917 yr Summoning is slow to train, is fairly expensive, and is extremely useful. No-brainer right there. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
March 15, 200917 yr If you have skill lamps which are based on levels, then I'd go with prayer, summoning or RC depending on which one is higher. If it's just hard XP like a lamp from a quest, I'd go summoning. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement.Also check out my blug
March 15, 200917 yr Author Definately 100% Prayer. why prayer though? You can train it very very fast at a Gilded Altar, yea it costs a little for the Dragon bones or whatever you use... but I make like 3M a day merching so money doesn't really matter anyway lol ................................[Currently Have - 1300M].........................................................My Beginner's Merchanting Guide - My Youtube Channel - My Twitter
March 15, 200917 yr I personally use skill lamps on skills that, for the most part, cannot be trained efficiently for free like summoning and construction. I'm not a big fan of construction, so I reckon the best skill to use your lamps on is summoning. Definately 100% Prayer. why prayer though? You can train it very very fast at a Gilded Altar, yea it costs a little for the Dragon bones or whatever you use... but I make like 3M a day merching so money doesn't really matter anyway lol Prayer can be easily trained for free in cooperation with combat training. An example is level 79 green dragons. Personally I do not enjoy slaying green dragons, and furthermore find teleing back and forth between ecto and CW bank boring. I don't like buying bones because that's a waste of cash. Let's take how many dragon bones would take 57-70 prayer. 1800 approximately. That's 288 XP per bone via ecto (most efficient because I had to kill all those dragons, so I'd rather get as many XP per possible per dragon). AND 300 combat XP per dragon. 540K Strength and 518.4K prayer XP. So the fact that my preferred way of training prayer is not what I enjoy, my prayer is only 57. :( Sadly. March 15, 200917 yr =] I agree with runecrafting. I sort of agree since the XP output is so freakin' slow. Probably one of the most difficult skills to train. The #1 runecrafter disgusts me. He's crafted more than 7 million rune essence. :( He has a lot of free time on his hands. Summer's EndWhile Guthix Sleeps 3 more days until deadline!

I wouldn't mind beating him. Sure, I'd be deemed the biggest addict or loser of all Runescape, but I'd be the biggest of something. :lol: =] In all fairness though, I can't really call him an addict, considering all the runecrafting I do. ^_^;;;
March 15, 200917 yr I use em on slayer mostly because in terms of exp per hour it is the slowest If i put a money value on 1 hour at say 600k, and say you get average 15k slayer exp an hour (varies alot just using this as per your average person) so put a value of 600k on 15k slayer exp, 600k / 15k = 40k. In the time you get 1k slayer exp you could have gotten 40k (basing lamps off my exp but at say 50 slayer, you would only get 500 from lamp so about 20k cash value) Keep in mind though you are gaining money as you slay, but In terms of time value, slayer is the best to use it on. If you were to use it on say pray at level 99, you get 1k exp, and that = 4 dbones. which is about 8k. if this makes sense to anyone else feel free to comment your opinions on it. Else use it on a skill you despise. I sometimes use them on agility because I cant stand it Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning

I'd say probably Slayer, Runecrafting, and Farming would be best to spend it on, considering the time it takes to level those three. Or too, just a skill you really hate. :lol:
March 15, 200917 yr I usually used on Summoning, Prayer, Hitpoints, or whatever I happened to be training at the time. Usually Prayer, though, as I never have the money to spend on it.
March 15, 200917 yr I always put it on agility - cant stand training it, yet it gives me good boosts!
March 15, 200917 yr I 've always used mine on prayer. I think it's harder to train than runecrafting.
March 16, 200917 yr Just pointing it out that unless you get TONS of XP lamps, farming is not the way to go. In the time it takes to get 16 XP lamps and use them on farming, you could probably have made enough money to check the health of a papaya plant many times over. This might not mean much to some people because you could say that about almost all skills. But... it only takes a split second to gain 8k XP (CH papaya), you don't really have to work at it. March 16, 200917 yr most expensive to train? I'd say summoning because you technically don't have to pay to train construction and prayer, but 99 summoning requires millions of shards. Summer's EndWhile Guthix Sleeps 3 more days until deadline!
March 16, 200917 yr In most cases you're best off putting the xp on summoning, due to charms being non-tradeable and the fact that you can get more xp per charm at higher levels. Next best is probably slayer because the xp is so slow.
