Newborn Calves

Are you really going to name them "#43, #38 and #32"?

Actually, those are the numbers that their mothers have, so they receive corresponding numbers. They are tagged so that we can monitor them based on any other health problems the prior offspring of that mother may have had, and so we can monitor any other issues with the calf & cow. An example would be if the calf was stealing milk from another cow rather than from it's mother. Without tags it would be impossible to be certain which calf is from which cow.

This is a useless thread :| Just post them in the pets sticky.

Sorry, I was considering the Pet's sticky, but then I thought about it. It seemed more wise to make a thread that people could choose to ignore and have it just amass around 100 calf pictures for those who showed an interest and convinced me to post. I thought posting 100 calf pictures on the Pet's thread might annoy those who wanted to show off their pets, as every page would be sprinkled with calves. They would argue that they are not pets, and I would have agreed. You don't have to look back at the thread anymore if you feel like it. I won't take it to the heart. ::'

I dont want to guess whats next to the 2nd one.

It's definitely [cabbage]. It's not the bad type of [cabbage] though. The bad type is the runny type. That [cabbage] looks pretty dry. Cow [cabbage] isn't all that bad either, a piece like that I have picked up with bare hands before when collecting [cabbage] for fertilizing my garden. Those type of [cabbage]s were bad though when sled riding, they would freeze and become like rocks. Once you get 5 inches of snow they are covered, so the first time down the hill you can't see them. Shattered so many sleds hitting them, not to mention the injuries.

I become just a little nostalgic when thinking about cows since they were a big part of childhood but they aren't around anymore.

Something with discussion value. A thread like this only gets replies like "Ooooh, how cute <3: " and jokes.

Yeah, but any thread I visit gets that.

Cow crap isn't bad at all. It's useful and practically just dirt.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

#43 looks pissed, you should raise him to be your watchcow. Like I sai in the cc "Moo if there's danger."

You're a daddy now, can I have that calf in the third pic? <3:

Our school had a field trip to the farm back in middle school. When we went up to milk the utter, I passed out. Cute calves though.

when we were kids, we used to throw dried cow crap at each other. i used it for my garden too.

Yep, that's the main reason I know what cow crap feels like, throwing it at my little sister to make her angry.
