Well ive ALWAYS had trouble dticking to my goals. Either i would get bored and give up, or i would get interrested by something else. Ive had several goals of getting Max KC at Aviansies but always end up leaving after about 3k Kills. My most recent goals is to get 99HP Slaying ONLY Green Dragons. The reason for my doing so it that its not really that slow, and the 95mil profit at the end of it all seems really handsome. I need to do about 1950 Trips to Green Dragons and back for me to reach this Goal of 99HP. So far its going really good but i know i will get distracted sooner or later. I need some tips from the people out there who manage to stick to their goals. I saw a Creeny of a guy staying at Aviansies for 25k Kills or something. I need to know what he does not to get distracted. Any one out there that can help me on sticking to my goal? Some tips or Advice?

 

 

 

***One more Question. Im a bit stuck on this one. Gaining the 2mil exp left for 99HP is going to give about 7.6mil combat exp too. I have 3 options on how to use this. I could either:

 

 

 

a.) Get 96Atk and 96Def (both will be a fraction short of 97)

 

b.) Get 99Atk and 94Def.

 

c.) Get 99Def and 94Atk.

 

 

 

Im stuck on what to do. I Kind of wanted to keep my Atk and Def close together but getting 99Hp along with 99atk or 99def will be 2 birds with one stone. Any help on this one?

 

 

 

 

 

***Yet another question. Should i sell the Dragonhides and Dragon Bones everytime i get to 2k of each? Or should i keep them all piled up in the bank till im done with my goal? I know this seems like a silly question but with a promised Prayer update the D Bones mught go up alot because of a demand to train Prayer. On the other hand if i sell my loot every time it reaches 2k i wll be able systematically upgrade my armour.Any thoughts on this?

Well i do have a goals of 99Hunter, 99Ranged and 99Thieving aswell. I cant to 99Ranged yet because that will influence my HP level and i want to try and achieve 99HP using only melee for now. 99Hunter is still far off for me as i am only 71 atm(Hunter is also very boring yet a good money maker). 99Thieving is more of a dream than a goal(only 43 atm and i still need to do the quest to unlock black jacking). I dont want to do any skills that will require me spending money UNLESS i am sure to make atleast 2 or 3 times the ammount spent back. I could always do RuneCrafting at ZMI altar everytime i get bore, but RC in itself is really boring....im stuck :(

When I make a goal, I make it broad ranged.

 

 

 

If I wanted 99 hp, I wouldn't figure out exactly how many trips I need to do, because then I know I'll slowly be dragging them along.

 

 

 

I'd just go kill dragons, have fun with it, then at the end when I sell the stuff be surprised at how much money I've made.

I do that with runcrafting. I'm getting closer to 91, but I've never tried to calculate how much I really need, so that I can just keep wondering until it sneaks up on me.

Yes it is definitely a challenge sticking to large goals that most if not all serious RS players go through at some point. If you just want to relax and have fun in RS than you can try what the previous poster said about having many goals (I would advise no more than 4 or 5 though), but if you calculated a certain amount of time that you think it will take you, or you just want to get it done as quick as possible, then you just have to concentrate, concentrate, concentrate. Think about the HP cape, or what you will buy with the 95 mil. A partyhat? 3rd age? Whatever keeps you going, just think about it whenever you get distracted about giving up or going to do something else. It also can help to calculate how long it will take you. If you do ___ green dragon runs a day, then it will take ___ days to complete your goal. Then you can have a countdown, etc. Use your imagination to think of little things to keep you going.

Make sure you set yourself some realistic goals. Seeing you need about 2k trips to get 99 hp.well that alone would make me depressed. Do as the above poster said, go on slaying, when you are fed up with it, sell stuff you want to get rid off and see your reward.

 

 

 

It might help to break the goal up in smaller amounts, going from 40-odd hunter to 99 is ridiculous imo, try getting to for example 50, or to the level required to hunt red chinchompas, or anything really.

I've always made my goals achievable. I love to see people have big goals and reach them but for example going for 99 Runecrafting from level 50 will most likely fail. If that's not the case for you perhaps you need to find something to do to "mulit-task" the skill, movies, music ect.

HP is fine, its just the sheer about of exp needed.

 

Range this is like the attack and defense on its a bit high, maybe 94/95.

 

Praying, ouch I sense RSI coming along. Try having it a 3 stage goal 70-80-90 (90 is still very high I'd personally cap it at 85).

 

Summoning, 2 stage this one 68 then 85. If you combine with with the others (excluding prayer) you should be able to achieve this in line with your other goals (ps get 67 summoning before doing the prayer goal).

Well 97 to 99HP isnt SUCH a big goal, but it isn's a small goal either. I do listen to music while i play and it does seem to take my mind off the boredom a bit. How can i whatch movies while Slaying Dragons though? I cant really AFk it otherwise it will be really slow.

LOL those are my "long term" goals. Obviously making them a short term goal would mean im going to have to "ni-life" for a year or whatever. I do have "3-stage" goals. I do intend on getting 95Atk and 95Def first, 69Summ, 75Prayer, etc. And yeah sure, 99HP at green dragons isnt going to be easy but ive seen people going from 89Ranged to 98 at aviansies, so my goal isnt totally impossible.

Well i will like to change the skillcape depending on what armour ill be wearing. If i manage to stick to my goal, a loot of 95mil awaits me. That means ill be able to buy Bandos for melee and Armadyl for ranged. HP with Bandos and Defence with Armadyl. But yeah, i've always thought of keeping Atk and Def close, but its not a MUST. If i will benifit more from 99atk or 99def at GWD or in PvP then i dont mind splitting them up.

Well there you have it : Go for HP with Bandos and Defence with Armadyl.

 

And you'll perhaps benifit from 99 defence in both more than 99 attack. though your attack will be 94 making it very effective.

All I can say is goodluck when it comes to sticking to a goal lol. I have troubles to.... Last night I told myself that today I was going to do quests, train agility, and train hunter, but now I'm working on slayer and havn't worked on any of those goals.... I guess it really just takes determination.

Well ive been able to stay at Dragons now for 2 days straight without having any thought off leaving. I need to do about 50trips a day to reach my goal in 40 odd days though, ive only managed to do 26trips sofar today haha. I guess ill have to settle for 40trips a day.

Well from the look of the graph it doesnt seem people are buying bones atm, but to be safe i'd keep hold of them. Sell the hides if you want, or keep if you ever decide to get some crafting levels using the SC needles.

Sell the d bones and hides as you go along, for a HIGH price.

 

 

 

They won't sell too fast, but you'll be out fighting more. When you come back, you'll finally have them sold, and have made a much higher profit on them.
