What do you guys feel about Beckett's suspension? I think it's ridiculous that they thought he threw at Abreu on purpose. He was already starting to throw when time was called, and pitchers at that level obviously can't stop when they're throwing very easily. This happens a lot when the pitcher is throwing and time is called, the pitch is always wild.

I dont know exactly what happened but if he was already throwing when he called time he shouldnt have stopped because he could have hurt his arm, and he probably didnt throw at him on purpose, so I think its ridiculous.

It's pretty stupid. Partly because I simply HATE THE ANGELS. [/rage]

He was in the middle of his windup, not actually throwing, but stopping in the windup is still dangerous. Also, Abreu kind of gestured toward Beckett like, "Hey, what the hell?" So that wasn't necessary.

Six games is ridiculous. Yes, he's a starter, so it's basically only one game...But really...

From what I saw, Beckett was already in his wind-up. Maybe Abreu called time before, but the ump definitely did not make it clear until Beckett was already about to release. And of course, if the ump randomly jumps up right before you plan to let go of a baseball at 94 mph, you aren't going to stop, and you probably aren't going to aim extremely well.

And it also seems like Abreu instigated the bench-clearing. Beckett was just like "blah", while Abreu was yelling his head off, at both the ump and at Beckett. And then Torii Hunter...I don't even know.

Oh yeah, that was funny to see Nick Swisher pitching for the Yankees one or two days ago just because they didn't want to waste an actual pitcher.

Mariners get a walk-off victory 'cause of some Angel throwing error, and Griffey gets a hit in his first at-bat back in Seattle at the home opener.

absolute bull crap that they suspended him

How do you not get ejected from a game and then get suspended for 6 days? The league obviously felt bad that the sorry [wagon] angels got 4 guys ejected from the game for not knowing how to shut up and sit back down on the bench. Mike Soscia (who cares how u spell it) should have gotten a suspension for being ejected and then coming back out onto the field to yell at the umpire again the next inning.

as for the throw over abreu's head... He was wayyyyy into his windup when the umpire called timeout. I still don't get how you can prove someone purposely throws a ball over a guys head. Obviously the idiots who suspended him think they can.

Kevin Youkillis actually GOT hit in the head tonight. it kinda grazed his helmet but still.... you didn't even see the Red Sox get off their bench let alone ask for the pitcher to be ejected.

The Yankees got obliterated today, and DeRosa went 4 for 7 with 6 RBIs, I'm so happy I drafted him

Bleh. It was mainly off the one Yankee player I actually like. (Wang, because he's Taiwanese  )

I'm not sure who I'm facing this week. We're tied. :? (Oh wow, Ian Kinsler had 4 steals this week...Matt Kemp had 3..)

Umm When I checked this week's match up it said I'm winning 5 to 4 at the top but at the bottom it says I'm losing 5 to 4.

So who's winning? Me or Fail Chowder?! :ohnoes:

I would trust the in-depth score more than the one on the league main page.

And you're beating me 6-4 now. You're winning in every pitching category...

(Btw, I totally forgot about this league for 2 weeks until yesterday :-# Bookmarked it now)
