After one of the January updates a strange thing started happening whilst playing Runescape.

 

 

 

Examples:

 

1) Turn on run immediately goes off

 

2) Try to open inventory and its flashes a nano second then off.

 

3) Right click to use bank quickly and get "good Day, how may I help you?"

 

4) Click on item to buy in GE and window closes and my character "walks away."

 

 

 

I've counted up to three "clicks" when I am only clicking once. :ohnoes:

 

Expecially when x-ing out of a window such as a bank window.

 

 

 

Since I have noticed this happening to others I was hoping someone here might know what is causing it and how I can fix it. :roll:

I've had that exact same problem (especially the GE one), and they all piss me off. I think it must be my computer or something because I haven't heard any other complaints before you.

I've started playing again, and i don't have this problem.

 

Have you tried another mouse?

OldJoe, I doubt it's the mouse (for me anyway) because I have an MX Revolution which is supposedly top of the line so I don't see it being the problem.

Looks like lag to me. Care to do a test at http://www.speedtest.net ?

Speed test is normal, all good.

 

 

 

I'm not sure how this relates to lag. Could you be more specific.

 

 

 

This is literally click on something and see the red x flash rapidly 2-3 times. Or see red x then immediately a yellow x when your finger is already off the mouse button.

 

Or try to take something out of the bank and get it plus the item below it.

 

I'm reasonably fast with a mouse but even I can't double click that fast.

 

 

 

Most of the time I just deal with it. But I have to admit that is really annoying in Chaos Tunnels or GWD.

I've seen that happen with lag. So either your computer has a delay sending info to jagex or vice versa or your mouse button is sticking. One of the three.

You can use the glitch to moonwalk though. Fun stuff.

Yeah, it happens to me as well.

Happens to me too. At first i thought it was my mouse since the ball kept moving to the upper left of the screen when i left it alone o.O. Then i bought a new one and the problem persisted. I even tried this on my brother's (1ghz faster than mine) computer and on my cousin's so-called top of the line computers. I don't think it is lag (we all have very fast connections).

Still, give us some speedtest results. It could only be the ping for all we know.
