Basically, you won't be able to play the latest games on an R4 because of outdated firmware. The CycloDS, for example, just pumped out an update because a game had problems running. So where an R4 you're only going to have a 2GB flash cart the CycloDS you can get something like an 8GB or higher. Very, very useful if you get into emulation on your DS. Believe it or not putting every single NES and SNES game on your DS takes up some space. :) Granted I use an R4 and it still works fine, but it's not really worth buying now. Faux Posted April 3, 2009 Share Posted April 3, 2009 you should have some Chinese mall around your area, I'd start looking there R4 is outdated but there are imitations out there that are up2date. I'll also recommend a CyloDS because it seems to be the most feature packed.
