Whilst I won't post the url, due to some pictures being damn gory etc, recent news held a man in the Yukon as being attacked in his sleep by a polar bed, said man then woke up, wrestled the bear, and shot it to death (presumably eating its heart and gaining its power)

I've heard a similar story, but it wasn't a polar bear. It was the world's largest bear recorded (12 feet or something) and there is a picture of a mutilated victim. It's probably the nastiest thing I ever saw. :?
