++99 Ranged! Bandits Vs. Other?++

Recommended Posts

I'm about to have a stab at 99 range, just curious about a few little things...

I'm thinking red chinning to 99 on bandits? I don't have access to ape atoll because i can't accept the exp from MM.

and roughly, if i spent around 25m on chins, how close to 99 would that get me?

Thanks alot!

first of all you need 80-85 ranged before you should attempt chinning at ape atoll.

range something like fire giants to 80-85 then chin. i think normal chins are 190-200 exp ea and red chins are 240-250 exp ea.

Also, you MUST use accurate (medium fuse) with the chins, otherwise it wont work.

Also, if your 1 def then go red chins, normal chins wont work good without full void and 85-90+ range.

hmmm. but you agree on the bandits?

well fire giants don't really interest me, i mean it wouldn't make that much difference if i chinned from 71 to 99...

still not sure how much 25m would get.. i'll work it out now

It's really not worth doing chins till about 85. At 80 range i still find them uneffective.

Red chinchompas only give about 27% more xp than greys, although they cost almost 2 times as much.

Chins = 636gp.

25,000,000 / 636 = 39,308

39,308 X 240exp = 9,433,920 total exp.

9,433,920 + 844,932(current exp) = 10,278,852 Total.

LEVEL = 96.

EXP TILL LEVEL = 413,777

EXP TILL 99 = 2,755,579.

hmmm..... i'd say that's definately worth it. but then i still have to pay for prayer pots etc...

Mummies in the CT dont require def at all O_o?

Slayer might - depends on tasks. Almost every task has a safespot.

There arent many methods of training range.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

mummies it is then:) thanks!

You can still do ape atoll you dont have to accept the rewards you dont even have to finish it.

I think he has completed the quest by not yet claim the xp from the dude that gets him to ape atoll.

Of I'm not wrong you can get an evil tree at ape atoll and you can go there.

Edit:

A later change on 17 March 2009 allowed players to reach Ape Atoll through Daero without accepting his reward, enabling pures to reach Ape Atoll without waiting for an Evil Tree.

LOL if you think your gonna be getting 240 xp/chin at 71 range LOL, i chin at ape atoll and i barely hit 230xp/chin at 94 range, at 99 range you usually average around 260xp/chin.

Check the link in my siggy for my guide. It has some responses in it with someone doing it at 77 ranged with excellent results.

I'd strongly disadvice bandits. Do MM but don't finish it to get access to marim's dungeon.
