May 25, 200917 yr I would never buy a censored CD anyway. What fan would? I did it by accident with a Common album. Annoyed the hell out of me. :( Where in Australia sells censored albums? I want to know so I can avoid it like the plague.
May 25, 200917 yr It would be hypocrisy for Green Day to just let Wal-Mart censor its album. Its an obviously profane album, but the whole thing would need to be rewritten in order to lose that rating, so I respect what they did.

May 27, 200917 yr Walmart is [cabbage] to begin with. My friend bought a CD only to find it was cracked in half. They didn't replace it because they said he could have already copied the music. This was when we were 11... Anyways I bought American idiot completely uncensored when I was 9. From Walmart. The new album is can hardly profane let me quote all the times f*** was said "I'm not stoned I'm just [bleep]ed up" who is this hurting? "I'm not [bleep]ing around" "so don't you [bleep] me around" yes I'm sure that hurt you "what a [bleep]ing tragedy" it's [bleep]ing expression. They say [cabbage] a couple times but who cares. And also n*gg*r is in one of the songs but if you look at the lyrics that line is a quote. I'm done It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.disregard good advice because the giver is a douche THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON
May 28, 200917 yr Like Das said, they stock horror movies with mutilation and many other horrible things that are 10 times worse :wall: Oh, corporate contradiction... 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
May 28, 200917 yr Like Das said, they stock horror movies with mutilation and many other horrible things that are 10 times worse :wall: Oh, corporate contradiction... And as I've said, they can stock them because they can restrict the sales on them. The same does not apply to CDs, there is no contraduction. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

And as I've said, they can stock them because they can restrict the sales on them. The same does not apply to CDs, there is no contraduction. Which is why CD's need a rating system. Videogames have em, movies have em, so why not CD's. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person.

May 29, 200917 yr I'm not saying that its profane because they curse, but the idea of what the songs are about is bad and would warrant a PA no matter what. You guys can disagree, but the songs aren't right for any little child to listen to. If I were a parent I wouldn't let my children listen to it, cursing or no cursing.
May 30, 200917 yr "Wal-Mart's become the biggest retail outlet in the country, but they won't carry our record because they wanted us to censor it," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said in a recent interview. God, I can just imagine Armstrong's smug face when he said this in the interview. It makes me want to punch him. It's just not that big of a deal. I do English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation for free! Just keep it under 5 sentences, and PM me to use my fluency in Japanese to your advantage!

Its your opinion, what restrictions you would put on your kids is what you have the right to do. To be honest, I'd have to consider it before letting younger children listen to what I listen to. May 30, 200917 yr I bought a Green Day CD from Wal-Mart, and it wasn't censored. I guess this doesn't really affect me though, I listened to some of this CD, and wow, I expected a semi-decent CD (I don't know why -.- ) but this was awful! :wall:
May 31, 200917 yr I hate Green Day, but good for them, stickin it to the man! :P AC/DC released their last album ONLY at Wal-Mart, and it kinda sucked not being able to go to Newbury Comics or your local cd store to get it. I guess it didn't have any explicit language in it though, which is surprising... :? :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling!
May 31, 200917 yr I've bought uncensored CDs from WalMart before. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
May 31, 200917 yr I hate Green Day, but good for them, stickin it to the man! :P I'm sorry, please explain? There is no rebellion, they just didn't want to follow their policy. Its hardly the little band fighting a big coperation. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
June 1, 200917 yr I hate Green Day, but good for them, stickin it to the man! :P I'm sorry, please explain? There is no rebellion, they just didn't want to follow their policy. Its hardly the little band fighting a big coperation. Sticking it to the man doesn't mean a full on rebellion... in this case, its just not going along with everyone else, and its their way of showing that they're not going to conform to the needs of a big corporation. Also that they're not going to let someone mess with their music, and that they are only going to have it the way they want. A.K.A - "Stickin' it to the man" Edit: On "the man"- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u9XoS-LoD8 hehe. :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling!
June 1, 200917 yr I'd never censor my productions, even if it meant less sales. Not only does it give a sell-out signal (and a big middle-finger) to all the fans, it's pathetic. If Wal-Mart doesn't like it, their loss. They also lose money on the huge commissions they'd get from all the sold GD albums. I'm not a fan of the band at all but they made the right decision.
June 6, 200917 yr God i hate Wal-Mart. But their prices are just so low! And they're everywhere! I love Green Day, and i think the fact that they didn't break down to the biggest super store chain in America is awesome. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
June 7, 200917 yr I hate Wal-Mart and Green Day equally. Hopefully they destroy themselves in this process. Woah, I was thinking the exact same thing. Although I think it would take more than a stubborn band to shut down a merchandise selling giant. But I'm interested to see how this all ends up. Greenday isn't the least bit concerned about losing Wal-mart sales, they have plenty already from other stores. And Wal-mart doesn't seem to care that they're losing potential profits from Greenday because they have massive profits everywhere else. I guess they'll just move on then with albums not being sold in Wal-mart? [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it.
