If you're taking too much damage, get a Zamorak trimmed rune skirt, see how that fairs out. Doesnt cost too much and no need to leave to fix it if you plan on staying a long time.

If you have the money, go for a DFS like Death said. If you dont, honestly, dont bother. But a fury would help more than a DFS would :|

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Keep Granite Shield and get a Fury, then maybe if you are getting hit too much, use verac skirt. Training your defence would mean that you could eventually swap Granite shield for Unholy book, although DFS beats everything else.

Why veraks skirt? I dont think tanking involves prayer.

10%.

To OP: Get Verac's helm+skirt and unholy book.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Youre gonna bring pray pots to aviansies? You wanna last long not always having to bank

Only uses like 4 per hour.

So he can only last like 2 or 3 hours? Not really that good imo

With your stats you'll get hit too much to justify that setup. At 81 defense with a bunyip I have a similar setup which just about works (ok I don't use any tabs, but tabs are a hassle).

Try replacing the legs or body with a barrows piece.

At your levels do not use unholy book for tanking.

Fury is amazing all round if you can afford it.

Bandos boots.... well personally I use these on/off. On weeknights and busy times they allow you to get 2/3 extra re-spawns which you would normally get hit using, but the rest of the time there an overkill.

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

the equipment i use now works perfectly fine (it's the one above) i get hit sometimes, but the extra +10 that the helm gives to ranged attack gives faster kills.

if i use unholy book i could replace the zammy d'hide chaps with torag legs giving more defense.
