I was wondering whether or not i should Upgrade my BGS to a ZGS? Dexek Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 I think ZGS is mainly used for Zil hunting in godwars. I personally like the BGS for PvP. I think the decision should be based on what you enjoy doing, as certain godswords are better for certain aspects of the game. That way you get a bit of throw around change and still have a powerful sword. I had 5mil extra in my band. With the 7mil i now have 10mil extra in bank. So that should be enough for a ZGS right? And yeah i know GS's have their own uses. I do intend on doing Sara GWD soon as i get 70 Agility. People who can't afford to Piety Flash. I'm at Tzhaar City at the moment and 2 out of 3 specs hit 50+ and atleast one of those specs hit 60+. Dexek Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 If your attack is high a whip might work better, but I imagine if you've been doing this for a while that you've already tested a whip. I doubt you're doing this for experience as the random comments above mention, but if you are there are better areas to train for it. As for your question about the special I still say that ZGS is only good for Zil. It might have some niche uses elsewhere such as Castle wars and PvP, but you didn't mention using a godsword in either of those areas. I suggest waiting until you are ready to kill Zil before upgraing to a ZGS. The extra cash could come in use elsewhere between now and that time. After some more comparing the Whip does seem better, but by a small 5k here and there. 5k is nothing to worry about tbh. Oh and yeah i am training with BGS atm, but not for speed, just beacuse i enjoy training with it. The 35k DDS easily outperforms it. The only difference between them is the specs, the stats are exactly the same. Bandos GS is useful as it hits 10% more with the specs, and some people decide to use it in PVP too. However this has a 100% drain... ZGS is the same as an ice barrage i think, but has a 100% drain. ZGS is only fun for minigames i my opinion (such as castle wars) so there is no need to upgrade really - money would be better spent on other things. Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig! Which are outdone by Whips. The GS are only useful on Specs/bosses, and for training, the BGS specs are completely garbage. But on topic, unless you plan to do Sara gods, don't even bother.
