Deactivated my Facebook account. I think it was the best decision in my life.

I would do that, but it's the only contact between me and my school mates (and ex-girlfriends <_< ).

Out of all my 103 "friends", I only pointed out it's worth keeping in touch with 10 of them at best. I think I was on the route of being a loner to begin with.

Well, that's a nice attitude to start out with.

I am too blunt when it comes to these things.

I was thinking of trying Skype at one point, then I realized I am inarticulate when it comes to talking.

How do you learn how to ride a bike? Tie shoes? Skating? You have to actually do it to learn it.

I was thinking of trying Skype at one point, then I realized I am inarticulate when it comes to talking.

This is one of my problems. Sometimes, it seems I try to speak faster than my mouth can actually do, and it forms a big mess of syllables. And then I have to force myself to slow down so I can be understood. <_<

If that is to my speaking skills, it's been like that for a long time. I sometimes can be articulate but I end up pausing.

Weird how it varies too. I can speak too fast, be too quiet, etc.

I have this same problem as well sometimes. Need to slow down the thought process so you don't [bleep] it up.

Well, in some cases. Not everyone speaks through words. For example, I may seem more open "verbally" on the internet. But in real life, I'm more quiet than a mouse. But my close friends can usually pick up on my expressions, body language, etc. Not everyone is built for talking. Some are better off using other means. For example, a lot of the time, what music I'm listening to really expresses my current mood, etc etc etc... I could go on and on about how you don't really need to talk to communicate. But I guess you kinda do when it comes the internet.

Also, being blunt doesn't mark you as a loner, if that's how you feel about it. (I'm not sure if that's what you think or not). I'm severely blunt most of the time, and I like to think I get along with people rather well...on the internet anyway. lol

It's because you are accustomed to that environment. If you were more comfortable with speaking to others, than you will be. Of course there's people who's naturally introverted, but it doesn't mean they can't speak to other people. It's a skill that you can learn to hone, just like catching a ball. However, there can be disabilities that interfere with that, etc.

Anyway, I'm going to head off. Last day of school until the holidays. Half day and all that.

My issue with bluntness is that most of my friends assume it's me being an ass for fun; only a small minority know I personally think it's better to get to the point rather than sugarcoat or lie. Basically saying I find my bluntness issues on the count of people misinterpreting my reasons for being it than punishing myself for being that way.

Well, as the saying goes with friends, quality > quantity. So the ones that do realize it are probably the ones that know you better and are your friends? If so, I see no issues with having so few. I myself only have 8, and really don't care for more unless they entered my life somehow. I'm one of those people who believe that you shouldn't need to change yourself to be liked by others (unless whatever you're doing to be hated/disliked for it harmful, etc....)

Yeah, I am inarticulate even on the internet sometimes. I need to fix that. :-(

geez I must be tired. I'm doing horrible with the quote feature tonight.

EDIT: @ Armorare. I can only really give you this piece of advice. Only change if it's YOU that wants to change. Not others. lol Pretty lackluster I know, but I'm about to head to bed and am extremely exhausted.
