Craiglowery
I'm pretty excited, I'm going to ride a half century tonight on a fixed gear, should be fun! Oh and I might be getting a new road bike soon, I've been saving up and I think I might have found just the right bike.
Ouchy
Craig, is that a fixie, where you can't stop pedaling, or just a road bike that is single speed. On the subject of SS. . . I just bought an SS Kit :D Now I just need to buy an SS Chain :D My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. And you should get a flip-flop hub for your SS bike, so you can ride fixed or freewheel!
Satenza
I cycle everywhere. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

AndyPandy
Went street riding today. About 7 of us including the manager of the workshop in the local bike shop. It was fun, we made a hench jump box out of pallets. I suck though, so I couldn't do much, I just about managed a manual over it it. Sketchy as [cabbage] though. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. unkn0wnwarrior
I haven't rode a bike in about 3 years. I used to love it, but it has caused physical pain to do so for 8 years.
stevepole
I googled a critical mass. I don't think they have any here in phoenix but I would love to participate in one. Seems like a lot of fun.

stevepole
My road bike got stolen today. So either this weekend or next depending on if I have the money I will put a free wheel on my fixed gear to make it into a single speed (flip flop hub) for the time being until I save up some extra money to buy the Trek 3rd District. Craiglowery
Ugh. Snapped a spoke today. Not a huge deal, but it still sucks. Breaking a spoke is the worst! Do you know how to true and tension a wheel? These skills help if you ever break a spoke in the middle of nowhere and need to make a quick fix to make it to the lbs. Shelby_Polo
Has anyone ever heard of (Hardcourt) Bike Polo? It's no where near being a major sport but it's popular in major cities like NYC. Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here!
