meol
No, HTML isn't supported at the moment, just plain BBCode. There are [yt], [ythq] and [ythd] tags at to embed Youtube videos, though. This signature is intentionally left blank.

obfuscator
Bbcode is similar to html and will allow basic formatting. Frankly it would be dangerous to allow html in posts. Small correction- It's not a case of "Not being supported at the moment", it's a case of phpBB3 intentionally doing everything it can to prevent browsers from rendering any HTML written directly into posts. Wongtong
BTW, if you want to put a youtube video on TIF, you get the youtube link. e.g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AqAgUJoxHY and get the code at the bottom and put it between the [yt][/yt] tags. You clearly know more about forums than me, thanks for the correction. :D [notsarcasm] I guess it could indeed get problematic if more malicious code was posted. das
phpbb allowing html is not going to happen anytime soon! LOL "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. InkofDeath
Explain why! I'm technologically [developmentally delayed] here. There's tons of exploitations allowing HTML in posts. Tons. From page redirects, to 'somewhat' automatic downloads.
dsavi
phpbb allowing html is not going to happen anytime soon! LOL But it wasn't long ago that it did do so- phpBB2 allowed it, I believe it was an option in the ACP.

MageUK
HTML has always been (and will always be) turned off on forums. It should only ever be turned on in a small environment where you know every single user can be trusted. Turning it on can open up a whole host of problems which is why it will never happen.
